-28-The Check Up

*Alyssa's POV*
Taylor and I are going to find the gender out today. I kinda hope it's a girl and Taylor hopes its a boy. But we will be happy either way. We are going to wait and fix the nursery after we find out so we would know how to decorate it. I would hate to decorate it all girly and the baby being a boy.

"Hey Alyssa, you okay?"

"Yeah I'm just thinking about the baby."

"Oh okay well you ready to go?"

"Yeah let me grab my purse."

*Skip car ride*

When we get to the hospital I check in and we go sit down and wait to get called back.

"I'm nervous" Taylor says

"Why? You don't have to worry about pushing a baby through your vagina sometime soon." I say to him

"I know, I'm sorry"

"It's okay, but yeah I'm nervous too. I just constantly worry about the worse possible things that could happen to the baby. I just want it to be healthy and for me to be the best mother I can be." I say to him

"Hey, listen everything is going to be alright. You are going to be the best mommy ever. I love you. We got this... You got this" he reassures me

I feel a whole lot better now

"Alyssa the doctor will see you now" the nurse says

We get up and are led to a room down the hall

"The doctor will be in hear in a few minutes" she says

"Okay thank you"

Few minutes later the doctor comes in

"Hello, how is everybody doing?" The doctor says

"Good" we both respond

"Okay miss Alyssa if you can lay back I'm going to check the baby's heartbeat and then the gender"

I lay back as told. He lifts my shirt up to under my boobs and gets the gel stuff out

"Okay this may be a little cold. Just bare with me," he says

He squirts the gel on my belly and it is cold. He rubs the Fetal Doppler around my stomach and rolls the monitor up

"Okay the baby's heartbeat is good!"

Me and Taylor sigh in relief

"Are y'all ready to find out the gender?"

"Yes!" We both say
