Chapter 6

Haru P.O.V

As soon as I got home, I hurried to take a shower. Then I headed towards the kitchen and put on a cute, blue apron over my casual clothes.

Maybe I could do the usual naked apron approach. Or not, that would be too embarrassing! I've never actually thought of that before, but just the thought of Yuu watching me, is enough for me to die of embarrassment.

"Okay Haru, pull yourself together! You only have half an hour before Yuu gets here." I whispered to myself as I headed for the fridge to get the ingredients I need.

It's still strange thinking that this apartment is now mine. Though it's pretty convenient that Ritsu lives next door, I can always ask for his opinions. In fact Takano was the one to recommend me a recipe for spaghetti. It may be a surprise that I'm not going with a Japanese style dinner, but that's mostly because I figured this would be easier to do.

~30 disaster filled minutes later~

I spoke too soon. The spaghetti ended up soggy for some odd reason. I tried out the recipe for the homemade sauce Takano gave me, and it ended up tasting way too garlicky. In the end the spaghetti ended up looking like a pool full of sauce.

I sigh cleaning up the last set of dishes. Well it's a good thing I bought instant ramen. I guess I figured out that this would end up a disaster either way. As I started working on the instant ramen, I heard a knock on the door.

I made my way towards the front door. When I opened it, I was met with a hot, sexy guy.

"Hey, I bought us dinner. Your cousin texted me to bring dinner for some reason, so I bought sushi" Yuu said making his way into the kitchen.

Note to self, kill Ritsu the moment you see him. But in this case he really did help me, since I have to admit I failed horribly. Speaking of failing horribly, I totally forgot to throw away that new creature I created earlier. "Hopefully Yuu doesn't see my failure" I muttered under by breath as I made my way towards the kitchen.

When I entered the kitchen, I saw Yuu with a shocked face looking at whatever that blob thing I created.

"Just don't ask. I tried hard to make dinner to surprise you, but failed" I say taking the dish and emptying the contents in the garbage.

I put the dish on the sink and turned around to look at Yuu pouting. Yuu comes closer to me and gives me a hug.

"Oh my lord you are the most freaking adorable person I've ever seen! Thank you. Just the thought that you went through all that trouble for me, makes me happy" Yuu says in an excited, serious voice that makes me giggle.

"I guess I have to thank Ricchan for warning you about my disaster, because we would've ended up eating instant ramen for dinner." I say hugging Yuu close.

I took a small sniff of his neck, inhaling his scent. Yuu smells so good; it's like a hint of strawberries and summer. Which probably makes no sense, but I love his smell. It feels like home when he hugs me and kisses me. When he loves all of me for who I am.

"Thank you for accepting me for who I am Yuu. I love you" I whispered in his ear, which in turn he started tickling me and I started giggling.

"I love you too" Yuu says stopping and giving me a long kiss on the lips.

When everything was the perfect romantic mood, my stomach ruins it by grumbling. Curse you stomach! It's like being in a very quiet room and not wanting to flip the page of a book or make the slightest bit of noise, because it will be awkward.

"Let's start with dinner, then we can make out all we want" Yuu says chuckling, leading me to the dining table.

Maybe I've totally lost my innocence when it comes to dating and stuff. Oh please when was I ever innocent to begin with?! I should probably start reading Yaoi. Maybe Aki can help me with that, since he is basically the master of that.

Rei P.O.V

Today I met the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. She looked small and fragile, almost like a doll. Her eyes were the most beautiful shade of blue and her hair looked like it could be soft.

"Bro" A faint whisper says to me, but I'm too wrapped up into my imagination to hear.

It might seem like I'm exaggerating, but she looked like an angel! I've never believed in love at first sight, but I am starting to now. I've never fallen in love before to begin with! I've dated a few girls before, but those relationships never lasted long. I wonder if she has a boyfriend.

"Bro!" I hear Rin yelling in my ear, which makes me almost fall off my chair.

"Oh my gosh! You scared the crap out of me!" I yelled out loud jumping a little.

Rin gives me a questioning look, bordering amusement. This is where the teasing usually begins. I usually try to ignore it, but it usually ends up wrong, so I just go with Rin's teasing. I always question who the older one is sometimes. She's only a year older than me, so she is 29, while I am 28.

"So little brother has a crush on our new editor. The one who said he will never fall for anyone there because they are crazy" She says trying to sound like me.

"I don't remember ever saying that" I say feigning surprise.

In reality what I said was that I wasn't going to fall for them because it'd be awkward if we were to break up, mostly because my sister works there and I go see her from time to time. But then there is also the fact that they are crazy, I must admit that.

"Well I'm warning you now, do not have your hopes up" She says patting me on the back and gathering her stuff.

"Why?" I look at her confused.

"Oh you'll see why, if you're not stupid enough to know that is" She says leaving my apartment quickly before I could ask any more questions.

Why do I feel like I just got insulted by her?

~The Next Day at Sapphire~

Aki P.O.V

I'm not having the best of days. This morning I woke up to find out that I had slept with my wig on. Meaning it's all messed up now, and I couldn't fix it in time if I didn't want to be late for work.

I also couldn't wear girl clothes because it would've been weird without the wig. So I ended up wearing jeans and a buttoned down shirt and a light blue sweater over it. I'm surprised I even had boy clothes in my closet. I usually wear boyish clothes for sleeping.

I sigh sinking down into the chair and put my head on the desk. As soon as I did, shivers ran down my spine from the cold metal desk. I just realize I better decorate my desk soon. It looks kind of boring and plain next to the other ones that are full of girly decorations.

The funny thing is that it's like Emerald, this room is painted blue to represent what we work on. Which I'm guessing that is why Emerald is pink because they work on shoujo whereas we work on shounen ai, or as I prefer to call it, Yaoi.

Suddenly I hear footsteps getting closer to our division. There is only me and Rin here so far, so I wonder who it is. I lift my head to see Rei, holding a rose standing by the door looking around for someone. I brush my bangs to the side. My hair is actually really long; it goes up to in between my chin and shoulders, but not quite up to my shoulders yet.

"Rin where is Aki?" Rei looks around confused and spots me.

"Oh are you new here? Geez you guys sure get new people. What's your name?" He says smiling.

That's the moment I realized absolutely nothing could ever possibly happen between us. Not even friendship, which is a bummer since I really liked talking with him. But like every other guy who had a crush on me, not saying that he does, they always regret it once they find out I'm a guy.

I hear Rin trying to hold back her laughter. Well here goes nothing.

"I am Aki" I say pointing to myself with a bored expression.

"Wait what?" He says looking confused.

"I'm Aki, I am a guy" I say slowly so he would understand. This in turn makes his eyes go wide with shock. That's exactly the look I've been used to.

Rin finally bursts out laughing, while Rei's face just turns red. He quickly drops the rose on my desk and dashes out of the room.

I sigh and look at the rose. It was a blue glittery rose. It was pretty, but too bad it wasn't necessarily for me.
