The War Of The Magi

Chapter 6

     "Did you here that?" Machate asked.
" That's a werewolf howl." Zayne responded.
" How do you know? Why did we have to leave? Don't you have anyone you care for!" Machate yelled. Zayne's eyes squinted with anger.
" Machate, I am not completely  soulless." She growled. Then she stopped and a single tear shed her eye. " I have a older brother and a twin sister. My brother, Randell went to a guard training school against my father's wishes. Since he is the firstborn and heir to the throne when my father passes away. My twin sister is a general. Her name is Zephyr. My mother would tell me how they would fight with wooden swords. My sister was foolish enough to keep challenging him. Even though I was blind my mother told me with vivid details." Zayne smiled " She went to a training schoo-" Zayne's face paled even through the dim moonlight he could see it.
" What's wrong?" Machate asked. He turned around two, bright yellow eyes were glaring at him. These eyes belonged to a werewolf. The opal colored teeth glittered in the moonlight. More eyes revealed in the darkness.
" Take them to Tybalt. He will have use for them." The werewolf behind Machate growled.
" Let us pass, or else." Zayne said calmly.
" Ha! What can a weak human do? "
Zayne's eyes glowed with fiery. Her hands balled into fists with sparks escaping out.
" A weak human can do a lot, especially if the have the gift of magix."
" You think you can still escape us." The werewolf grabbed Machate's arm. His claws dug in his flesh. Machate let out a small yelp. " I will give you a decision you can come with us painlessly or .......... he dies. " Zayne flinched then responded.
" Neither." She let out a wave of dark magix. Hiding in the shadow behind her was a werewolf. The werewolf pounced on her. Then used it's claws to claw her. Zayne screeched then fell on the ground. Motionless and bleeding from the wound.
" Get her I'll get the boy." Without time to protest, the world went black.
