"Ghnnn..." Someone was groaning.
The moonlight gave shadows of straw roofed huts with wood as protective walls.
"Briar, is in along with Tybalt. He misses his son like a child misses their mother." Victor snickered.
He looked over. Nathan was staring at the ground." Nathan, are you alright?" He immediately snapped out of the dream.
" Is something bothering you?"
Machate walked toward him. He reached out to put his hand on his shoulder.
Nathan slapped it away.
" It's nothing. It's personal, nothing you need to worry about." Tears streamed down his face. " I've lost something I can't replace. The love was a waste of my time. I...I...." He clenched his fist. " Good luck, try to fix him." He ran away to the woods.
Machate caught a glimpse of Nathans ears starting to form into black and white tips.
" Ughh, he still won't get over it." Victor whispered.
" What was in his past? What made him think about this dark memory?" Zayne asked in a soft voice.
"It's none of your business! Your here to help Briar! Correct? Now stop gazing at that fools actions and look at your own!"
" You spat filth in my face." Zayne said with an angry tone in her voice. " I can escort myself and Machate just fine." She left and headed toward the biggest hut. Assuming Briar was the one moaning and groaning in there.
" Come Machate let us go see Briar." They walked up the dimly lit pathway of gravel and cobble.
" Stop! Stop! It hurts I don't want to keep bearing that pain."
" It's best for yo-" There was a shrill howl.
" I would rather die than be in this state!"
" Don't speak like that." The man who Machate assumed was Tybalt said gruffly.
Zayne quietly slid her head through the fabric. Which acted like a door.
" You are the one who can heal my son. " He looked with hopeful eyes at her. Tybalt had the same dark brown eyes. He had a beard of wispy brown hair and wasn't afraid to bear his wolf ears. They were pierced with golden rings.
" I have to talk to you......" Zayne began talking to Tybalt about what she could do and could not do.
" I will do anything to get my mischievous Briar back." Briar took after his father and looked no older than Machate. He had bags under his eyes and looked sickly pale. His hair was not a healthy color, but a color with tints of white.Randell observed. He heard everything they said. He heard Nathan and sensed his misery. He listened to every word that came out of his sister's mouth.
Now he had a plan.
