I have just figured where the dognappers hid and planned their next mission. They had just took my Hachi and now they are going to dognap another poor, little, and absolutely helpless dog. Let's hope that maybe Miss Gorgon's lost dog knows the way to the rest of the dogs. I have an amazing idea but should I follow my guts or should I just follow the men? I decide to test my guts first. I am going to send the dog out and see if they go after it. Then, I can follow them. I try to push the dog towards them and its begins to whine.
"Hey do you here that?" a man asks to the other.
"Ya Harry. I think that it may be the runaway dog," the other man says to the-so-called Harry.
"Maybe, Zayn," Harry said to the-so-called Zayn.
"I think it came from there," Zayn said as they came closer. Closer to me!
I have to get ou tof here, NOW! But I'm stranded, there is no way out but the front and they are approaching at the front. How am I going to get out? The only way is up. I have to find a way to get me and Miss Gorgon's dog up there. I saw ruins of former stairs so I dragged the dog over and up. I clinbed as far as I could. Once we got to the slim part, I picked up the dog and slid across the wall. I have to find a hole in the wall that I can fit through to escape, then I can begin following them. I finally found a hole but it was only large enough to fit the dog.
They were coming closer. I try to push the dog through but he wouldn't go. So I pick him back up and slide across the wall. Just across from me, there is a larger hole, but I can't get there unless there is a rope to sling across with. I carefully jump, warming up to jump across. I would never do this but I would do anything for Hachi. Just before they reach the front entrance, I jump for my life.
My entire life flashed before my eyes. Everything, as in my own birth, my first day at school, the day I met Hoolah and finally, the day I got Hachi. My dear Hachiko, the one I was risking my like for. I looked down and I knew this was the end, I felt my self falling. But I wasn't falling towards the floor, I was falling towards the wall. I just might make it. I aim myslef towards the hole and tighten my grip on the dog in my hand. The next thing I saw was the sun. The warmth on my face was relaxing and I instantly felt fresh. I walked to the edge of the cliff and looked down, searching for a way down. The sight was beautiful.
But there was more about it that really wasn't beautiful. There were hundreds of tiny cages all filled with a living thing, but what is it. I saw a ladder at the corner of my eye and got down. I figured that I shouldn't follow the men, but somehow get to the cages. Maybe the dogs are there. I don't know where I am so I need to be extra careful. All I know is that I am certainly at the outskirts of town. I will get to those cages no matter what. I sit down and eat a sanck. Feeling lonely sure makes a girl hungry. I take out the snacks and open it up just when the dog I just rescued ran towards me.
"So big guy, you hungry?" I aask the very skinny dog.
"Roof," it barks back.
"Here eat this and we should probably give you a name."
"Roof."
"How 'bout Rufus?"
"Roof."
I laugh at his "large" vocabulary of words. Then I hear footsteps. I look back and see figures approaching the hole. They even used the rope connected to the ceiling that I swung across. I take the dog and slide down the ladder. Where did I learn all this? Just instinct, I guess. I run as far and as fast as I could. My chest hurts terribly, but this is not the time to think about it. I run towards the cages. Might as well use my escape tactics as a travel vehicle as well. I got closer to the cages. I could see more and hear better too. I stop, astounded by what I saw.
"Rufus, you and Hachi weren't the only ones who were dognapped, there's more."
