Chapter 1
It didn't occur to Erica until after she found out that she was pregnant that she was too young to raise a child. Raising a child wasn't the only thing that bugged Erica. What bugged her was the fact that she had to raise the child of her own rapist. She wasn't at ease due to medical issues that not only she but she and her family faced. She was under a lot of stress due to the loss of her grandfather and one of her favorite uncles. She was timid when it came to speaking about her mother. Erica and her mother simply just did not have a good relationship. While on the other hand she and her father had a beautiful relationship. Her and her mother wasn't always rivals. This happened only when she was with child. Her mother accused her of not being raped. It didn't occur to her mother that you could be raped by a close Friend. It didn't occur to her mother that a friendly face could be an evil mask. Erica was rushed to the hospital when she discovered that her water had burst. The first to be by her side was her father who had her grandmother besides her. Finally after twelve hours of labor baby Harmony was introduced to the world. Harmony weighed in at 6 pounds and 3 ounces. From Erica's shame came beauty and with that beauty was faith. She was happy to introduce Harmony to the world. A couple months after Harmonies birth Erica's mother tried to apologize to her by buying her and Harmony their own apartment. Her mother wasn't excepting no for an answer so she took up the offer to accept her .mom’s apology
