Too much alcohol, a blunt of weed, and one puff of a wasted cigarette later Zayn was in his room feeling lonely. He hated having this feeling, it killed him. He needed someone here with him. Whether it be Valerie or Liam or Louis. At this point if Perrie had called and asked he would have said yes. He let out a sigh.

"Hell, if you're like this after only knowing me for a couple of days, I can only imagine how you looked when you knew Perrie for almost two three years." A voice said. Zayn looked up to see Valerie standing there, with a smirk on her face. Zayn rushed to her- slightly drunk, even more slightly high- he stumbled over and embraced her. Leaving kisses as he did so.

"You're lucky, I finish business quickly." She stated.

"And what business did you have?" Zayn asked and to his surprise she answered.

"The only business I run, Pretty boy."

"How does your sister not know about it?" Zayn inquired.

"I own two flats." Valerie answered. She walked the lad over to his bed and stripped him into nothing, but his briefs. She ruffled his hair and pecked his lips before going to turn off the lights. When she dipped into bed beside him, he immediately latched onto her. Zayn had one more question before he could sleep.

"Why are you telling me this?" Even though it was dark, Valerie could still see how cute Zayn looked when he was drunk. He childish side came out. His lower lip pouted, and his eyes became bigger. Valerie pecked his pouted lips again before snuggling close to him.

"Because, Zaynie, you won't remember in the morning."

~~~
Valerie was right. He didn't remember a damn thing she said or did that night. Didn't remember her sneaking out to go handle some things or her coming back in. Valerie was glad for that because she doesn't think Zayn would be ok with her leaving in the night. She thinks that would kill him and she was probably right.
When Valerie woke up and was hungry, this time she didn't leave the room until Zayn did. She didn't go anywhere unless Zayn was with her. And when Zayn had to go to the bathroom she clung to the Leprechaun lad, who had been able to make her laugh, like she was a little kid. Niall didn't seem to give her judging looks like the other lads. They had tried to be nice, but it always seemed like there was some sort of hidden agenda with Harry, Louis, and Liam. She knew they didn't trust her, but they didn't have to do it so openly.
"Erie, don't look so out of place." Zayn chuckled as he walked back into the living room. She glared at the Pakistani boy. Zayn thought this was funny. He was so used to the girl being to strong, but under a bunch of eyes she couldn't stand it. She was so used to being in the dark. Zayn thought.
"Don't patronize me." She scowled at him. Zayn simply smiled one of those smiles when she knew he was content with her being around. That he actually liked the fact that she was around. Valerie liked knowing that Zayn liked having her around. She liked seeing him get jealous when she would talk to Niall without even glancing at him. She liked how protective Zayn would get when the other lads would unknowingly glare at her. She liked the way his eyes lit up when she entered the room and how they would noticeably gravitate towards one another in any situation they were in. Valerie could finally admit to herself that she was falling for the lad, but she didn't know if that was a good thing or not.
Valerie had helped Zayn a lot in the past few weeks. He was now going to rehearsals and recording songs. He's actually been to a few interviews, which always made him depressed when it was over. Even after all these months and weeks spent with Valerie, he still thought about Perrie when Valerie wasn't around. That couldn't be good though, right. If Zayn was thinking about Perrie he wasn't moving on, he was just idle. He was ok with thinking about her every now and then. He shouldn't have been, he should be trying to get over her, but he wasn't. Not even now, when Perrie wanted to be friends again. Saying that she had missed the hazel eyed lad.
