Carol's POV

I was silent the whole day, even though I was a demon, I felt dead... I already knew that I carried my human soul inside me, I never told anyone of it.. The only person that did know was Undertaker. But I guess the soul was affecting me.. So, to distract myself from my thoughts, I cleaned whatever I could in the manor, I made all the beds, and cleaned the rooms. I managed to do it all in 2 hours.

I made my way to the garden to see if Finny needed any help. I walked out to see that Finny was about to use EXTRA weed killer on the garden. I quickly walked over there and snatch the bag out of his hands.

"If you use too much, then the weeds will be stronger and harder to kill. Please, just use a normal amount.." I said with a sigh.

"S-Sorry miss Carol." He said.

I look at Finny to see that he was blushing and had a nervous laugh going on. I smiled a bit, and then sensed something was wrong. I grabbed Finny's arm and ran towards the kitchen. We burst through the back door, and we saw Bardroy about to use a flamethrower. I quickly grab it out of his hands, before he had a chance to use it.

"No. Flame. Thrower. In. The. Kitchen." I said, as I put the flamethrower away.

"But it would make cooking faster!" He said, lighting another cigarette.

"No smoking! Also, yeah it would be quicker... To burn the food. Do you want to hear Sebastian's mouth again?" I scolded as I took the cigarette and crushed it.

"S-Sorry..." Bard said with a sigh afterwards.

Then we heard running in the halls, we saw Mey-rin come in with boxes. But she tripped over her boot's shoe lace and she was flying across the room, the boxes were falling down.

"Help Mey-rin!" I told the 2 servants as I caught the boxes one by one.

"Honestly... How many times have I told you not to run in the manor, Mey-rin?" I turned around to find Sebastian with the others.

"I'm sorry, sir! My glasses broke and I can't see a thing!" She said, blushing.

I sighed at his presence, he took notice in mine.

"Carol, thank you for catching these boxes," Sebastian said as he took them away from me, "Wonderful job everyone, I'll take care of the rest. Now I need you to well- VERY well, during dinner tonight."

"He said it twice." Bardroy said.

"Then I guess we have to do our best." I said, crossing my arms.

I felt Sebastian look at me, I ignored him, which caused the servants to look at us strangely. But I felt Sebastian come close to my ear.

"You're very beautiful when your mad.." He whispered in my ear.

I was confused by this.

He was angry at me that night, and now he's trying to win me back?

I sighed at my thoughts and walked back out to the garden. I laid on the grass and looked up at the clear sky that was about let the sun rest for the night.

It looks so peaceful. I wish time would stop right now..

"Did you and Sebastian.... Like each other?" I turned my head to find Finny standing there, he was upside-down from where I was laying down.

"I don't know.. But we were something. Why do you think I wasn't my usual self today?" I asked, sighing afterwards.

"What happened?" Finny asked as he laid next to me.

"You'll get in trouble if your caught lying on the grass with me.. Besides, you really wouldn't understand..." I muttered.

"You'll get in trouble too, also it's dinner time! Let's go see how it goes." He said as he grabbed my hand and starting running towards the stone garden.

Since Finny messed up the other plants, we had to make a stone garden for the guest that arrived earlier in the day. I was glad that I managed to save the rest of the garden. I was then hiding with Finny, Bard, and Tanaka in the nearby bushes. We had leaves wrapped around our heads, but either way, I don't think that it worked for hiding us since I saw Sebastian staring at us. But we watched dinner, like it was a play, freaking out when Mey-rin spilt the wine. So, we managed to carry her inside without the guest noticing.

When we got inside, she told us that she acted that way because Sebastian was watching her. She also said that it was because he was so close to her. We all sighed, with sweat dripping down our foreheads, then there was Mey-rin, nervously laughing. We then quickly retrieved the soon-to-be-stained table cloth and got dessert ready.

_

I walked along the halls and I looked out the window to find our guest struggling on one leg, he was dark with ashes. I knew that he hid somewhere with fire, probably the oven, I sighed at the stupidity that our guest had, and I continued walking. But I was met with the butler himself, standing right in front of me.

"Carol." He said.

I walked by him, trying to go around, but my arm had a hand firmly wrapped around it.

"You can't ignore me forever." He said.

"Of course I can, I can live forever, unless I'm killed with the Demon or the Angel's Sword." I said as I tried to free my arm.

"Carol.. Stop with those comments, I need to talk to you.." Sebastian said.

"Why add to the damage? You've done enough, I never even got to explain myself and you pushed me away. Sebastian, if you didn't want an explanation then, why would I give it to you now? Especially when it's not really relevant anymore." I said as I felt his grip loosen up.

My arm was free as I retreated to my room. I climbed into bed, with my uniform on, and cried to sleep.

I can't even avoid him...
