Carol's POV

I wake up to Mey-rin gently shaking me. I noticed that she was fully dressed and she had her glasses on.

"C-Carol? Thank goodness you're up. The master wanted to see you, didn't he?" She said as she fetched a corset and one of my uniforms.

She helped me into a corset, which I was used to, and helped me put the uniform on. I then tied the boots that she gave me.

Why must these boots have heels?

Mey-rin then shows me the way to the study and leaves me at the door.

"I will help you later, yes I will." She said before disappearing. I then knocked on the door.

"Come in!" Ciel shouted.

This brat doesn't have to shout! Whatever...

I walked in to find Ciel looking at me, from head to toe. Also, finding Sebastian next the young boy, doing the same thing.

Damn them both...

"Well done. Now. I will explain how it is you will work here. I understand that it will take you a while to understand how this works, you might need help cooking and what not. Anyways, you will do simple chores, like dusting, cleaning the rooms, making the beds, and do what you do for guests. But you are not a regular maid, so, just like Sebastian, you will accompany me in whatever I must do for the queen and wherever I go outside. But most importantly, you will obey every order I give you. Do I make myself clear?" Ciel explains.

"But what if I don't?" I challenge.

"Then I will have Sebastian punish you, however he pleases." He simply says.

"Disrespectful..." I mutter.

"What was that? Do speak up." Sebastian says.

He wasn't like this last night. I mustn't think about it. If he forgot then so will I.

"I said that's disrespectful. But I guess that's appropriate for the young earl." I tease, smirking at my comment.

"Oh great, she teases me like you, Sebastian." Ciel said with a slight tint of pink.

"But I guess I will have to obey to your orders. So I will oblige to you." I said as I bow. I'm used to curtsies...

"Very good. Well then, Miss Blackwood, go do your chores, Sebastian tell her, her chores and go do what you have to do." He says as he looks back at his paperwork.

"Yes, master." Sebastian bows and goes to the door.

I follow Sebastian's lead, I bow to Ciel and leave. I follow Sebastian to the kitchen, to find someone, the cook I guess, almost using a flamethrower.

"That's not how you should cook." I say, revealing mine and Sebastian's presence to the cook.

"M-My apologies.." He says, lowing the flamethrower.

"Now, Bardroy! This is Carol, she is going to be the new maid. If she needs help with the cooking.. Well.. Let's hope that she doesn't." Sebastian says as he turns to me, "Make a cake for the young master along with some Earl Grey tea. Then bring it up to him. This is your first task, I'll be in my office, doing some papers."

With that he was gone. I decided to make a sweet vanilla cake with little bits of strawberries in it and on top of the cake. I remember my mother making it for me, but I'm not sure if there's a name for it. Maybe... Strawberry shortcake, she called it? It's hard to remember from that long again. But, I'm sure it will come to mind. So I get the ingredients and go to work, the steps come to mind so easily.
