The memory of home

My parents were born on earth, raised on earth, got married on earth and I was born here, on the Odesseya 23 years ago. My name is Kara Sprode. Today the all people that have lost someone in the past 5 years will meet in the boarding area. All high ranking people will make speeches about what they remember about earth and that we're going to find another planet to live on. People are going to cry and I'm just going to stand there wanting to hug my parents. They died 4 years ago in a planet scan gone wrong. A small asteroid destroyed their engine and they crashed on the surface of the planet. Before I go I'm going to take a nice shower and then I'll have to get dressed all fancy. It's mandatory to wear something "respectful". Personally I think that if I went to the movies with a guy and he was wearing jeans and a T-shirt, I would be respected. In the sense that he feels comfortable around me and doesn't feel like he has to impress me. Anyways, I've got to go take that shower and find a dress(I don't think I have a dress or a skirt) cause the meeting in the boarding area is at 12:30.
