My life on the Odesseya

A storm

This chapter is not written in Kara's journal! This is what happened.

"Shit!" Said Jill as a few sparks flew. "What?" Said Zack as he ran over to his friend. Kara and Newt were still sleeping on the couch. "Zack. Could you just hold those wires there. Thanks." Said Jill as Zack did as he was told. Jill had just a pice of tape to holds the wires together. "There. That, should do." She pulled up her wrist and took out a little screen. "Ok, so once I bypass the fire walls, and get into the actual communications program, I'll sent a message pulse that'll transmit to anything within 5 light years away and 1000 years past or future." Jill pressed a few more buttons and closed the little screen. "Admit it! I'm amazing!" She said as Zack shook his head. "How long till it takes effect?" He asked. Jill frowned and said."4 hours, 54 minutes and 36 seconds." Zack nodded and said. "We'd better get to our apartment. Don't want to invade their privacy. C'mon." They walked out of the room.

The next morning everyone woke up to a loud siren. Zack and Jill burst into Newt's apartment. Zack immediately spun round because he accidentally caught a glimpse of Kara's bra as she put on a T-shirt that said #blameJasson on it. He turned back around and said what the FRACK is going on!?!?!?" Newt was grabbing a few small things. A silver chain, a gold ring and a book entitled The Territory of Time. Kara grabbed the book she bought not to long ago, a gold necklace, her journal and her mom's good luck charm. "That alarm! It means that the Scorged have found us! We don't know how but they have! Come on!" Yelled Newt. He whispered something to Kara and bolted out the door. She kneeled in front of the two teens and said. "Do you have a way out of here?" Jill fumbled with her wrist computer thing and said."Yes. Hera sent a message to go to these coordinates at exactly 4:23 pm. And right now it's 3:47 pm. Hang on I'll find out where those coordinates lead." There was a moment of silence and Zack took advantage to ask."Wait!? You want to come with us?" Kara looked at him. "Yes" She said. "The Griffin Dorm! That's were the coordinates lead. Do you know it?" Asked Jill. "Umm..yeah! It was my dorm back in college. We can take you there." Said Kara. The teens nodded. Then they all dashed out the door.

They made their way down the empty hallway and to the stairs. They went down multiple flights of stairs until they got to the bottom. They ran out into the busy street. Kara frantically looked around for Newt. "There!" Yelled Zack as he pointed to Newt. Newt was flailing his arms so that they could spot him. They ran a cross the street. The three of them held hands so that they wouldn't get lost. When they got to the car Kara got in on the passengers seat and the teens sat in the back. "How are we gonna get there? You can't drive through this crowd!" Said Jill. Zack snapped at her. "Jill. This is the future, they have flying cars." Newt looked back at them and said. "We don't have flying cars. But we don't need to drive through the crowd. We just need to make it to the College. It's on the south edge of the ship. Luckily I actually wasn't the best student. I've got a few short cuts." He drove over a curb and went through a massive parking lot. He was driving opposite the people running. Trying to make it to the escape ships that would bring them to the other ship.
"Jill." Whispered Zack. "Yeah?" She said. "When we get back, what are we gonna do with these two?" Kara heard them and said. "You can bring us to earth and we can live there. I could maybe even meet the..." There was massive boom and crack that rang in the air. The whole ship fell silent. Then there was a loud beep. The beep signified that the commander was about to speak. "Attention all on the Odesseya. This is Commander Ga'jen. What you all just heard was...was the Scorged destroying the Gyrphona." Screams emerged from the crowds in the streets. The commander continued. "Now we will be transporting citizens to the Valkerya. Please do not panic. We are doing everything in our power to get rid of the Scorged ships. Thank you." It was quite until the crowds started running and screaming.

They drove next to the crowd for about 10 minutes before multiple large buildings appeared in the distance. "Newt! Do you know where Griffin Dorm is?!" Yelled Kara. "Yes!" He said. He was driving pretty fast. They finally made it to a large building with the word Griffin above the doors. Newt stopped the car and said. "GET OUT!" As he unlocked the doors. They all got out. They started running.

When they arrived at the doors Jill took out her little wrist screen and Kara said. "It's so...empty." Jill's screen started beeping. "It'll beep faster as we get closer to where we need to be." They walked through the doors and through the halls. They walked down halls and up multiple flights of stairs. They kept going until they got to the roof. The ground shook. They tried to make it to the middle of the roof. "Come on!" Yelled Kara over the loud sounds of ground shaking. Zack and Jill made it to the middle. Kara and Newt held hands as they tried to climb to the highest point in the middle of the roof. "NOW!" Screamed Jill as the time became 4:23pm. A massive ball of light appeared right behind the teens. Just as Kara and Newt were gonna make it, the wall of the ship caved in. Jill had passed through the portal and Zack was  halfway through when he saw Newt and Kara flying backwards through the hole and into space. There was a large ship firing at the Odesseya. The couple were still holding hands as they floated out into space. Zack closed his eyes as he went through the portal.
