Brooklynn's POV:

I stepped off the private jet and was instantly hit with the smell of sea air. The waves of heat danced on my blonde hair and caused me to perspire. Nothing like the crisp air of England. My eyes were blinded by the sunlight and my Nanny, Lia, had to help me climb into my Aunt Justine's old, rusty pickup truck. Lia put my bags into the trunk while I hugged her goodbye. The sent of her perfume filled my nose and made me want to cry. She's practically my mum, and I can't stand leaving her for this long. Her brown hair tickled my nose as she bounced out of the truck to tell me good bye. "Well, I guess this is it Brooklynn. You are ready to go!" She said as she grabbed me tightly. "I'll see you on August 15th. No later than that, please. I think you're mum will drive me crazy with errands!" She said as she shut my door. "No, later than August 15th, I promise... maybe!" I yelled out the window as I buckled my seat belt and told Harold, my uncle, that I was ready to leave before Lia bursted into tears for the 5th time today. I know I've made fun of her for it all day, but while we were pulling away I felt a warm tear drop fall down my cheek and into my lap.

"So, how are you Brooklynn?" Harold asked turning down the radio. I knew he didn't care, in fact Aunt Justine probably made him come pick me up so that we could 'bond' in her words. All he wants is the scoop on my dad and his business, he's always been kinda jealous. "I'm doing great, and mum and dad are doing good too." I said smiling. "Mum? I should've known you moving to England would change you..." I just laughed at his remark and enjoyed the scenery. I mean he says this every time I come in, why should I let it get to me? I've lived in England for about 9 years now and I won't let his remarks or Aunt Justine's begging drag me back to Savannah. "I hear your dad's company is doing great! That's all my buddies talk about at the bar now days." Again I just smiled at his poor attempt to make small talk and get the scoop on my dad. My dad and Harold have always had a rough past. They used to be business partners until my dad got a better offer in England. Now dad makes big bucks, and Harold is stuck in Savannah running my Aunt Justine's restaurant. The drive from the private run way to my Aunt's house is about 30 minutes. It's not too bad, but it gives us just enough time for a couple awkward silences and attempts at meaningless conversations.

As we pull up to my Aunt's old town house I marvel at the bright colors of the shutters and the different shades of brick. "Here we are Brookie, I'll go start the tea." Harold said with a smirk. He knows I hate the name Brookie. I swung my legs out of the truck and reached back to grab my bags from the truck bed and take them to my room. "Oh darling! How great to see you dear! " screamed Aunt Justine as she ran down the pathway and hugged me so tightly I couldn't breathe. "Hello to you too, Aunt Justine!" I said beaming ear to ear. "Long time no see! You haven't came around much since you've moved off and left us!" I just smiled at her remark, because I know it won't be the first one I hear this next couple of months. I casually reached down to grab my bags when she hit my hand. "No, no, no dear! We have extra help around the house this Summer, they'll get your bags." She said dragging me inside. "Extra help? Since when did you hire people to work in the house?" I asked closing the door behind me. "Well, we have a few fishermen, and gardeners to help out with the cafe but they help me around the house also. As long as they get their pay check they're willing to do anything! Now come inside, we need to catch up dear." She said dragging me up the path way into the front door of the town house.

"We've done some renovating since you've been here. I was getting tired of all the old wallpaper. You know how I love change!" She said as she pulled me around the living room. The room was a nice teal color with light wooden floors. The walls were decorated with photos of family and friends, and Aunt Justine's creepy coo coo clocks and cat sculptures. The cats don't bother me that much, but the clocks make so much noise that they drive me insane! "How have you been darling?" Asked Aunt Justine as she sat me on the white couch and handed me a glass of sweet tea. "I've been great." I said with a smile. "That's lovely dear!" She said with a large smile on her face. She quickly looked at her watch and got a worried look on her face. "Oh no! I'm late! I have got to get down to the cafe to get all the shipments in for the town ball this weekend. We'll go get you something nice to wear tomorrow, okay? Now, you know where your room is I hope. I'll have Liam bring up your bags. Got to go! Love you lots!" She said as she quickly ran out the door. The thing is, I'm not exactly sure about where my room is... I know it's up the spiral staircase and down the hall, but not which door. I just feel so awkward in this house. I walked up the stair case and down the hall. Luckily all the doors were open, so I could tell what room belonged to me. I walked to the very end, past the workers rooms, to a door on the right. The room was painted orange and decorated with teal accents. My name was painted on a canvas above my queen size bed. There was a tv mounted on the wall, a walk in closet and my own bathroom with plenty of storage space. To bad, I didn't bring enough clothes to take up the space.

I laid down on my bed and switched the tv on, which isn't something I normally do... Considering most people think of me as a book worm. But since I had jet lag, I decided to get some rest. I flipped through channels until I landed on the only thing that wasn't foreign to me, the Disney Channel. Now I know that 17 year old girls shouldn't be watching Disney Channel, but I'm not used to any of the channels here. I'm planning on going to sleep anyways, so It doesn't really matter. My eyelids got droopy and I dozed off into a peaceful sleep.

Liam's POV:

I had just stepped of the fishing boat and headed to Justine's house to freshen up for dinner. "Oh nice to see you Liam! Did you have a good day of fishing?" She asked leading me in the back door towards the kitchen. "Yeah, it went really well. We should defiantly have enough by Saturday." I said while taking my shoes off and sitting them outside the door. "That's marvelous dear. Now I need you to do me a favor." She said facing her desk. "Sure Ms. Justine." I said dreading what she was going to have me do next. "My niece just arrived from England, you know, Brooklynn. Well, her bags are in the back of Harold's truck and I need you to deliver them to her room before it starts to rain. You know how unpredictable the weather is." She went on and on and all I could think about was how great that shower was going to feel in a couple of minutes. "So do you understand, Liam?" She asked staring me in the eyes. I quickly shook my head yes and said "Yes ma'am." She gave me and smile and started to walk out the door. "Oh, and don't forget to tell Brooklynn when to be ready for dinner! I defiantly do not want her to be late." She said shutting the door behind her.

I walked to the trunk expecting to have to haul in about 50 expensive brand name bags and dreading every second of it. Instead I found a normal purple suit case with a cheap duffel bag. Maybe she already had some of her clothes carried in by Harold? I picked up both bags and headed towards the town house. I walked through the living room and up the spiral staircase. I remembered painting Brooklynn's room that awful shade of orange. I walked down to the end of the hallway and knocked on the door. The door slowly opened by itself to show Brooklynn asleep on her bed. I walked to the corner of her room to sit her luggage on the floor and wrote her a quick note saying that dinner would be served at 6. I got a quick glance of her. She had long brown hair, fair skin, and a slight smile on her face as she was sleeping. I slowly and quietly exited her room shutting the door behind me.

Brooklynn's POV:

I woke up to all of my luggage sitting in the corner of my room and a note that said be ready for dinner by 6. I figured it was from Aunt Justine, and she does not like me to be late for anything, especially meals. I hopped out of my bed and slowly walked to the bathroom to wash my face and freshen up. The bathroom had everything I needed. Even makeup. I took a moist towelette and wiped the drool off my reddened face. I quickly slipped into an outfit more appropriate for dinner and brushed out my dark hair. I put on some mascara and a little bit of lip gloss and quickly ran down the stairs.

By the time I got downstairs Aunt Justine had already taken her seat at the table. She looked at me with sharp eyes as I turned to see the clock said 6:02. I'm never going to hear the end of this. I started towards the kitchen when Aunt Justine called after me. "No, no dear! You don't belong in there. Kristen will brig you your food. After all, she is the maid. That's her job!" I looked at her with a confused look and awkwardly took a seat at the table. Soon after all Aunt Justine's workers filled the empty spots at the table. Except for one spot... But no one seemed to notice. "Hello, you must be Brooklynn! I'm Jase!" Said a tall dark headed guy about my age as he shook my hand. "Nice to meet you Jase." I said quietly as I flashed him a smile. "So, you're from England right?" He asked "Actually, I was born here and I moved to England about 9 years ago when my dad got a huge promotion." I said while I slowly ate my dinner trying not to embarrass myself in front of Jase. "That's really cool! I was born and raised here. I actually remember you from when we were younger, but I doubt you remember me." Am I supposed to remember him? I don't at all. It seems kind of odd that he would even mention that. "It was nice talking to you, but I have to go hook the ships up to the dock. Maybe we can hang out sometime?" He said as he winked and walked out the door.
