That morning, we opened the store. It didn't go so well in the evening but at night, many people came for cakes and cookies. I guess for parties. I told Heith about me hiring Tabetha. He was very disappointed. He kept begging me to replace her with another employee. But for right now i have to keep her. The next day i had everyone come to the shop early even though it was sunday. We have to open early anyway because some people come from early service church and could be hungry. That happened a lot where i came from. It does sometimes here but not as much. The main reason i wanted everyone to arrive early so that they can meet Tabetha. I asked Tabetha to come at 8AM. When she got here we all lined up and bowed to her, "Thank you for joining us Ms. Tabetha!" I thought this would be a good thing to do to new employees. I picked that habit up from when i lived in Kyoto. My mother is from Seoul though. But they do it there too.
Tabetha smiled in a heartwarming way. She bowed back, "Morning."
Im glad i came up with that idea.
