"Well Mikey, I really don't know what to do. I'm so damn depressed and no one gives a hell."
I said sitting on his bed.
Like I mentioned, Mikey is my best friend.
"Frank you do know I care right?" Mikey claimed.
"I do..." I mumble sadly.
"You're my best friend! Of course I care!" He said happily.
I look over to him, I smile.
"I care about you too Mikey." I laugh.
"Hey Frank. You haven't met my brother yet, haven't you?" Mikey asked, staring down at his feet.
"You have a brother? I didn't even know!" I claim.
"Well. I guess that's good. He's kinda obsessive and you'd probably think he's a tad weird. He actually asks me a lot how you're doing and such. Like if you're depressed and stuff." Mikey mumbled.
"How does he know I'm depressed?" I ask, scratching my head, a bit creeped out.
"I remember the first day you hung out with me. He saw you, and I guess he liked you." Mikey paused and stared at me.
"He began to ask me tons of questions about you, it was worrying me. He was being really odd about you Frank.." He mumbled nervously.
"Mikey. Don't worry about it-" I pause, I began to remember the letters.
"Does your brother write? Like- I don't know. I guess it's just my paranoia speaking." I laugh nervously.
"Wait what?" Mikey asked confused.
"I-I've been getting these letters Mikey. I never told anyone because I thought they'd think I'm crazy. These letters- they've been telling me that life gets better and all this bullshit about how it gets better and how much they care." I mutter.
"That's damn creepy. I'll ask Gerard about it." Mikey said, smiling.
"I hope your brother doesn't have some kind of creepy crush on me Mikey.." I whisper.
Mikey began to laugh, "Gerard? He never opens up to anyone. Im surprised he even worries about you."
"Gee thanks." (No pun intended) I mumble.
"I'm sorry Frank. He's just cold." Mikey whispered.
"I'm just eager to find out who wrote those letters I guess." I mumble. Mikey looks at me, smiling.
"Hey Frank, wanna hang out with me and Ray on the weekend? Kinda like a sleep over."
I smile.
"Totally dude." I giggle.
"Now theres the fun Frank we all love!" Mikey tackle hugged me.
"Dude! Stop that." I laugh and push him off.
"I should head home. It's getting late." I mumble. Mikey nodded.
"Okie dokie Frankie." I stare at Mikey.

"Did you just call me Frankie? Frankie? Mikey are you okay?" I began to laugh as he shoved me.
"I thought it'd be a cute nick name!" Mikey pouted.
"Just stick to Frank, okay you big weirdo?" I laugh.
"I'm gonna head home, care to come to the door with me ... Mikes..??" I say trying to create a nickname myself.
Mikey stared at me for a long time. I could see the pain in his eyes. He then whispered.
"Yikes."
"Oh my lord Mikey!" I laugh. I stand up, he does too. He opens the door and we walk down the stairs. Mikey's mother, Donna, greeted me with a hello as I walked past. Being the shy kid I am I wave. The front door I was about to walk out of opened.
"Hey Gerard." Mikey waved. I stood there frozen, as he walked through the door. He was pretty tall, with black greasy hair. He smelled like cigarettes and coffee. I actually.. Liked the smell.
"Hey Mikey." He said not noticing me. He then looked down at me, I was short. He looked like a deer in headlights.
"Oh .. Hi Mikey's friend.." He scratched his head and smiled nervously.
"I-I have to go Mikey- Fran- I mean Mikey's friend! Bubye.." He quickly walked down the steps of the basement.
"What's wrong with him? He never EVER. Acts nervous." Mikey said quietly.
Donna shrugged.
"He's just tired Mikey, don't think anything of it." Mikey nodded.
"Well, I'm gonna go." I scratch my head and open the door.
"Bye Mikey." I smile and walk out.
Why did his brother freak out as he saw me? This just doesn't add up. I then shake my head. He's just tired, nothing more.
