Sam looked at Piper then back at Holly, his eyes filled with surprise and confusion. "You're Holly Kingsbury."
"Samuel..." Piper growled.
"YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE IN JAIL!" Samuel yelled, picking up his phone.
"Sammie NO!" Julia screamed.
"She's supposed to be in jail. You know how this'll end?"
"Do it, and when it's over I'm not letting you ride IrishBee no longer!" Piper yelled at him.
Sam stopped after he pressed nine, putting his phone away.
"That's my good son, now give me your phone," Sam gave his phone to Piper, "now go to your room. Your grounded for a month."
"A month? That's how serious you want her to not be in jail? Dad, she almost killed you!"
"Go. To your. Room. Now." Piper growled.
Sam smirked evilly at Holly, as if daring to say "I'll tell everyone."
Holly fiddled with the stall lock of Troll Soul, she pushed it up and down, out and onto the ground. She put the metal piece back in and stared at Troll Soul. "Samuel is going to ruin my life..."
"Samuel?" A girl in heels walker over. "Who's he?"
"He's Piper's son."
"Ohh, does he ride IrishBee? The guy who rides him is super cute, oh, and these few boys I just met like Kim Lerry and Joshua Kipling. O.M.G, so hot!" She squealed.
"Uhh, cool. And you are?"
"Oh, me? I'm the prettiest, the smartest, nicest, and sweetest girl on the entire planet! The one and only, Heather Patts!"
Holly bursted out laughing.
"What's so funny?" Heather snapped, hands on hips.
"Like-gasp-Like Heather Pat-a-Cakes?" Holly nearly fell to the ground.
"You dirty immature girl! I'm the most richest girl in this state, and I can ruin your life."
"Like you can ruin my life more. I'm Ho–Hayley Persona and I'm the most intelligent female in the country."
Heather rolled her eyes, "As if."
"And I think you lost your way city girl, because this is horse country!" Holly responded in a snarky voice, laughing.
"I know, and I hate it. Horses are gross and have poop all over them. Like, could you like, clean yourselves?"
"Hey now," She snapped offended, "don't you talk about these horses that way. I thought the same thing when I first came. They changed my life."
"As if," Heather rolled her eyes again.
"Go to hell city girl."
"You're the one born in dirt."
"You're the one born in the gutters, cause they're in the city along with the oil."
Heather gasped and stumbled backward, whipped her hair and exited the stable.
"Way to go Hayley!" Marlee cheered. "My first encounter with a city girl like her was not pretty."
"Thanks, I guess."
"So, you wanna go riding with me?"
"But...I don't know how to ride, I mean I do but, I haven't ridden on Troll yet—"
"I'll let you ride Rico, he's a sweet boy and good with beginners."
"Thanks." Holly followed Marlee toward stable twenty.
Marlee saddled two horses at once, saddle by saddle, bridal by bridal. "Here ya go!" She smiled and walked toward the unfenced fields.
"These are unfenced..." Holly bit her lip.
"That's okay, these two buddies won't go anywhere." Marlee smiled and pulled a stepping block toward the left of Rico. Holly stepped up and put her foot in, and soon settled nicely in the western saddle. "What type of saddles are we in Hay?"
"Uhh, western I think."
"Yup! And what gait is just above the walk?"
"Walk, trot, canter, and gallop?"
"Yup, those are in order. Have you ever trotted before?"
"Kind of, I'm not very good."
"So...this is your second time riding?"
"I guess so."
Marlee continued with the little trail ride until Holly learned to post in the trot. "Sweet, now you can trot bumpy and strongly!"
Holly smiled and patted Rico's neck as they were near the stables. A phone rang to his right and Marlee's horse Queen Bee neighed and crow-hopped, Marlee falling on her knee, screaming
"Hello?" Heather answered her phone, "Lucy! Oh my god, how are you?"
"HEATHER!" Holly bellowed.
"Oh wait, some horse person wants to talk to me."
"HEATHER IM GOING TO KILL YOU!" She kicked Rico to a sudden trot, afraid to go into a canter-but Rico had other ideas. He galloped toward Heather, ears flat as possible on his skull. He lifted onto his haunches, the city girl screaming.
Holly hugged his neck, frightened. When they hit ground again she quickly fixed her position to show the city girl she wasn't afraid.
"You idiot!" Heather screamed. "I'm going to sue you for this!"
"Go ahead, get a lawyer. Your money can't defeat the best Flat Racing Academy in the world."
"I'll show you..." Heather growled and stomped off toward her dorm.
Holly walked over to Marlee, afraid Rico will gallop again. "Are you okay Marlee?"
Marlee continued to scream and hugged her left leg, tears rolling like a waterfall. Queen Bee sniffed her and bit at Rico, shooing him away.
"I'll be back I promise!" Holly swore and trotted toward the Callquib house.
