Amilly Moments

Okay? Okay.

Lilly's POV

"Tell them? Aman, that's ridiculous." I say as I get up from the couch.

"No it's not Lilly. Team Super already think's that we look good together and they're just waiting for us to tell them that we're dating, so why don't we just do it? Plus, you know Team Super is going to be the most suppo-"

"I know they're gonna' be supportive Aman. They support me through everything bu-"

"Okay, well then if they support you through everything what's the problem?" I stopped in my tracks, noticing the attitude Aman had. I've never heard him like this before.

I kept walking trying not to be too distracted by the attitude. "I just don't know how they are going to react. What if they don't support me through this one? Will they be mad? Disappointed that I haven't told them? I can't risk it Aman." I turned around to see Aman get up from the couch.

"Lilly I know you love Team Super with all of your heart, but if you really love me and if you are really committed to this relationship then you won't care what they think. So what if they don't approve," he paused briefly, "Are you just gonna' break up with me?" He asked. I heard the concern start to build up in his voice.

"Aman, stop, okay? I wouldn't break up with you because of what they think. I just don't wanna' tell them. At least not now. Deal with it." I shrugged. I don't know where my attitude came from, I guess from his, but I had told him this many times and he has just kept bugging me about it lately. Aman giggled and he started to walk closer to me.

"Deal with it? Deal with it?!" He said, his voice suddenly getting louder. "Lilly I am tired of constantly hiding our relationship from the freaking world! When we're out in public I wanna' be able to hold your hand and hug you and freaking kiss you Lilly! I wanna' be able to take you on romantic dates, but I can't do that since you decide that it would be a great idea to just keep us a secret! You haven't even told Humble! Humble is one your closest friends and you can't even get the guts to tell him?! This is bullshit Lilly!" I froze, astonished at what I had just heard from Aman. There was a brief moment of silence before I spoke up.

"Aman, why can't you just respect the fact that I don't want to tell them?"

"Why can't I? I've respected it since the first day I asked you to tell them and that was 6 months ago! I can't do this anymore." Aman walked past me, slightly bumping my shoulder and walked into his room. I noticed him start to pick up his things. His jacket, his phone, his keys.

"Do what anymore?" I asked, sounding concerned.

"This whole 'hiding our relationship' thing." He laughed. "You know, whats the point of being in a relationship if no one knows about it, huh?"

"Aman, what are you saying?" I asked, my eyes starting to fill with tears.

"I'm saying that I need a break. We need a break. This whole thing just isn't working for me and until I can get used to it or 'deal with it', I'll be staying with one of my friends." I felt a tear slide down my face. I looked into Aman's eyes and they were stone cold. Did it not hurt him knowing he lost me? Did it not hurt him to break up with me? He started towards the door and there were so many things I wanted to say, but I just couldn't get them out. He opened the door and turned around to say one more thing to me.

"I'll come back to get my things in the morning. Goodbye Lilly." He slammed the door and left it at that. I never thought the last thing I would hear from Aman, in one day, would be 'Goodbye Lilly.' I usually hear 'I love you', but I guess he didn't feel like that anymore. It's better not to lie anyway.
