Chapter 2: Irritation

You stand beside Jon, the man who destroyed Ken's shop, and on the other end of the line is Freya, the man who's a little intimidating. You haven't even paid any attention to the other three because you're focused on the those two. Jon because you don't want him to defeat you, and Freya because, he just has those bad vibes. You actually might not even fight them because it's the leader who chooses who fights who. Maybe he'll put you with at least one of them.

Currently, you stand in the middle of a stadium along with the other competitors, watching as the men in the audience cheer and shout. The stadium looked a little like the one in Crocus, but this one was much smaller and a little more wrecked. Only a small number of people participate in this and the village is small itself, so there's no reason for it to be huge.

Just when you were about to sit down in frustration from standing there for so long, the leader finally makes his appearance in front of everyone. The girls told you his name was Ky, and has been the leader for 5 years. They also said that he became the leader when he was only 15, when most others were in their 20s. This means that he is probably way stronger now, if he was super strong that long ago. He was also the one who enforced that all women should be banished, so you were definitely going to beat him.

Ky stands in front of the six of you, smiles, then turns to face the audience, you can see the determination in all the girls eyes as you look at them.

"Welcome! My fellow citizens, are you ready to see if the undefeated Ky, will finally step down from the top?" he exclaims.

The crowd roars, and are almost even louder than the cheers at the grand magic games, which is kind of scary because it was more than double the people here. You tense up at the loud shouts, for some reason the cheers are making you really nervous, but you shouldn't be. You have to be strong for the girls and Ken, showing any sign of weakness could bring down your chance at winning.

"Now! I will announce who will be fighting who!" he turns to face you and the others.

He scans all of you one by one, smirking at each one of you, has even chosen who's fighting who? Once his eyes stop at you, he raises an eyebrow.

"You, Lector right?" he asks.

You flinch, "Y-Yes, I'm Lector."

You hear Freya chuckle slightly, which makes you blush in anger.

"You'll be fighting, Will first," he says pointing to one of the other competitors.

You nod, and look in the direction of where he's pointing. Will, the guy you're going to fight is a super muscular, and tall man with a scar on one of his eyes. He definitely looks intimidating, but you aren't scared, you're never one to judge people on looks. Then you realized, since Ky is choosing the battles at random right now, your guess is that he probably chose you, the smallest competitor there, to fight against the biggest. Clearly he thinks it would be funny to watch someone weak go against someone strong. That's not the case in this situation though, and now you know the type of person this leader really is.

"As for the rest, Freya vs Jon, and Zen vs Gill," he says quickly then walks towards a little spot where he'll be watching the fights.

The other four walk the opposite direction and climb a couple of staircases to where they will be watching. All you can think about right now is how you will only be able to fight one of the two men who you wanted to fight. You shrug it off and focus on the man you must battle at the moment.

"Oh and by the way, no weapons allowed in the first round," explains Ky.

'Wow he's really underestimating me right now,' you think to yourself angrily.
