Chapter 3: Success

Like your first battle, you want to end this one quickly too, you just want to fight Ky, let the girls back in the village, and be on your way with Sting. You just dodge their attempt to punch you, and appear behind them so you can kick them instead. You kick Jon which sends him flying into Zen, which sends both of them flying to the wall. Just like that, they are both on the ground, not being able to move, so that means you've won again.

Unlike your first battle, everyone starts to cheer right away, instead of staring at you shocked for the first part. Throughout all the cheering, you could hear the sound of Sting's adorable laugh, it's an actual sincere laugh. He rarely laughs like that, so this was a pretty special moment. Well it would be if the thing he's laughing at isn't you. You're assuming he's laughing at how fast you were able to beat them, even after that argument you had.

Instead of shouting at him, you glare at him, it's so Ky doesn't question anything. Speaking of Ky, you see him walking up to you as soon as you turn your head away from Sting, there's a bit of fright in his eyes.

"Okay Lector-kun, clearly you are the winner here, so..." he pauses for a moment.

"Yes?"

He looks around nervously, then falls to his knees, you get startled and jump back. You look down at him as his head stays very low to the ground, he's almost in a praising position at the moment.

"Please don't kill me!" he cries out, "I'll let you become the leader, just don't kill me!" He starts to cry out loudly.

You look around frantically, to see how others are reacting to this. As you look around just faces of disgust appear on the men, clearly they do not approve of Ky's weak state. While the girls are just giggling to themselves because it's clear victory for you. You then bring your focus back to the crying Ky, in front of you.

"U-Uh, Ky?" before you can say anything else he cries out again.

You flinch back, "I-I won't kill you if you really don't want me to, i'm not that cruel."

Hearing your response causes Ky to look up at you like you were an angel sent down from heaven.

"R-Really? You won't?" he grabs your hands and looks into your eyes.

You look away from him, so you're not making eye contact, "Of course," you say nervously.

"Thank you!" as soon as he says that, he runs so fast out of the stadium away from embarrassment.

You just stand there stunned at what just happened, but you don't do anything about because you are the winner now. You look around again to see how people are reacting.

The girls begin to cheer first, then the guys, and throughout all the cheering, all you can hear are Sting's cheers. You look in his direction, and see him cheering like a maniac with a gigantic smile on his face. You can't help but smile back, and out of victory, you pump your fist in the air and shout as well.

Since you won, there must be a ceremony to celebrate the new leader of the village. Currently you are standing on a huge stage beside one of the village's elders, who is about to announce your name.

"Here, after 5 long years, is our new leader who showed us pride, strength, and honor," he shouts. "I'm proud to announce that our new leader is Lec-" you cut him off.

"Hahahaha! So since I'm the leader, you can't replace me unless someone is able to beat me right?" you ask smirking with your hands on your hips.

"U-Uh yes, you just cut me off, let me restart," he clears his throat. "The new leader is-" you cut him off again.
