Chapter 6: Quality Time?

"Well I guess since you're here and I shouldn't leave you out, even if you are here just to visit, would you like to do the job too?" Melanie asks.

You and Yukino look at each other and shrug your shoulders.

"Why not? It wouldn't hurt, we can probably work things out with each other too," you look at her and smile.

She just looks away and nods too, "I can give you more information on the day we go."

"Okay i'll just let Sting know," you say.

She flinches and looks at you nervously, rubbing the back of her head.

"Um this might sound odd, but can you not tell Sting we aren't really in good terms and if you tell him he won't let you," she explains.

You look at Yukino, "Yeah after the games they haven't spoken and whenever Melanie is in the same room as Sting, he immediately leaves."

"Sometimes glaring at me," she looks away.

"Hm, well if I randomly disappear one day Sting will be worried," you say.

"You have a point," says Melanie.

The three of you all sigh in defeat, but you then stand up quickly and suddenly. You have an idea.

"What if I just tell him that Yukino and I are going on a job, and we just meet you somewhere," you explain feeling very proud of yourself after.

"That sounds like a plan," says Yukino cheerfully.

Melanie nods, "Okay let's meet on the other side of the mountains tomorrow morning."

You and Yukino nod in unison, "We'll see you then."

Melanie then walks away back to where you're assuming is her house. Which then makes you decide it's probably time to go to Sting's and see if he's cleaned up his room. As you're about to start walking, Yukino grabs your wrist.

"Are you really sure you want to go on this job with Melanie? I mean what if she pulls something?" she asks holding your hand with both of hers.

"Of course! She can't beat me again especially since i've gotten stronger too," you say with confidence.

Yukino just looks away with concern, "Well I'll still keep a close eye on her."

You nod and smile, "Okay, well I should probably check up on Sting, do you want me to walk you home?" you ask.

"No you should go see him, he really missed you. The day he found out you were coming to visit he just couldn't help but tell everyone, and i've actually never seen him that excited before," she smiles.

You blush, "Well then I definitely need to see him."

"Okay I can come pick you up tomorrow and we can go together," she says.

"Sounds good, have a good night and thanks for showing me around," you smile.

"Of course!"

You both wave goodbye and head your separate ways. It's nice having a calm friend like Yukino, you feel like you can tell her anything. Most of the girls at Fairy Tail don't seem very trustworthy, when it comes to personal things. One time you told Erza your fear of (fear) and she told the whole guild. That then lead everyone scaring you with your biggest fear. Natsu used that information to his advantage because he didn't know any other way to fight you. But you feel like you can trust Yukino with that information.

After your small thoughts to yourself, you finally made it back to Sting and Rogue's house. You didn't have to knock because Sting said he always left the door open, which isn't safe by the way.
