Perrie's POV
"I love my new wedding planner! She's amazing, she said she'd also design our dresses. That would be such a load off of our backs, right babe?" Gen asks me.
"Yeah, I'm glad you found a planner you like. How did you find her anyway?" I ask her, while flipping through a magazine.
I stop on a section about Leigh Anne. She looks absolutely stunning, she hasn't changed that much since graduation. She's posing in front of a camera for a Collars & Coats event. Everything looks amazing one her, from her beautiful legs, to her gorgeous dress, her pretty hair, and nicely toned abs. I see a bother picture of her standing next to Jordan, I feel my face get red with anger. I put down the magazine, I can't look at them together any longer. (The picture posted is the one Perrie is staring at).
"Babe?! Are you listening to me?" Gen asks, while smacking me on the arm lightly.
"Sorry I was a little bit distracted, what were you saying" I turn and look at her.
"I was saying that I found her business car in your wallet. And yesterday while you were recording your new song, I called her and we met up. She's so nice and funny and actually pretty down to earth." She stayed smiling her adorable smile.
"What's her name?" I ask while twirling her red hair in my fingers.
"Leigh Anne Pinnock. Your friend from high school, I read about it in one of the magazine articles you leave everywhere." She chuckles.
"Um I don't know if that would be a good idea. Leigh Anne and I aren't exactly good friends." I say looking down at my fingers, remembering what happened to between the two of us.
"She never mentioned anything about it when I told her about our wedding yesterday, in fact she seemed more than happy to help plan our wedding." Gen says, and I hear her flipping through a magazine.
Well if she can put what happened between us, I suppose I can too, for Gen's sake.
"Alright, you can have your 'wedding planner extraordinaire' I'm sure she'll do an amazing job" I say and rest my head in her lap.
Gen plays with my hair for a little bit which makes me want to fall asleep but a second later she tells me to move so she can feed our dogs.
I see my phone light up on the coffee table in front of me. I pick it up and I immediately recognize the number. It was her number, the number that I loved getting a text from or a FaceTime with. But now all it brings me is misery, and regret.
"Hello?" I answer.
"Oh hi! Is this Genevieve?" Her melodious voice comes across the phone.
"No this is Perrie," I answer trying to sound nonchalant, but failing.
"Oh, Perrie hello. It's Leigh Anne." She says and I can tell she's smiling.
"I know, what do you want Leigh?" I state bluntly.
"Well Genevieve gave me this number and told me to call her when I come up with a design for your dresses." She says, sounding annoyed.
"Okay I'll give her the phone." I say.
"No need, just tell her to call me tomorrow and I'll come over to show her the design then." And with that Leigh Anne hung up the phone.
Memories that I've tried my hardest to suppress, slowly creep to the front of my mind.
"Perrie you can't just give up on us so easily. You told me we'd always be together!" Leigh yells at me.
"Leigh I haven't seen you in four months. And you're leaving to go to Paris tomorrow, and you won't be back for another three weeks. By the time you come back I'll be in America for two more months. I can't be there sad and mopey because I haven't seen you for so long. I'm supposed to be happy and fun! I can't do that when all I'm gonna be doing is thinking about you and when I'm gonna see you next. I can't have that burden on me. I can't be with you anymore, I'm sorry" I turn around to walk away.
"So you're calling me a burden to you now. You used to tell me that you loved me once what happened? How can you just leave me with my heart broken into a million pieces. Please stay here with me, we'll work things out. We can make this work I swear!" She says, tears running down her cheeks.
"Leigh I'm not good enough for you. You need someone who will be home when you come back. Someone waiting for you, I can't be that someone. Or someone who can go with you next time you fly half way across the world." I whisper loud enough for her to hear.
Once I get to the door, I turn around one last time to look at my one true love, my heart shatters and I can't feel myself move. She's on the floor with her hands covering her eyes and tears streaming down her palms.
"Who are you to tell me what I need?! Since you clearly aren't in love with me anymore, I want you out of my house, and I never want to see you again Perrie Edwards." Leigh Anne yells at me.
I walk out the door, pounding my head. Why am I such an idiot?! I get in my car and I drive until I don't recognize where I am anymore.
"PEZ!" Gen yells at me while waving her hand in front of my face.
"Sorry I was somewhere else" I say looking up at her.
"Who was on the phone?" She says, sitting down next to me.
"It was Leigh Anne, she said she designed our dresses already, and she's coming over tomorrow to show them to us to get our opinion." I reply.
"Are you okay? You look a little pale."she puts a hand to my head.
I take her hand and kiss it gently.
"I'm fine, I promise" I fake a smile so she'll drop the conversation.
"Okay if you say so." She kisses my forehead and get up.
'I want you out of my life FOREVER' and Leigh Anne's words will haunt me till the day I die.
