"I need your help"
"With what?"
"You know... that long email I sent you,"
"That long sloppy message about, what was it again? Oh yeah, Simon."
"Mhm, and also bring you know what. It's extremely important. "
"Right."
Amina was like my sister, she knew me so well. It scared me sometimes to be honest but I knew I could trust her no matter what. It was late at night and I was tired when I though I should tell her about my plan, so I sent her an email. She'd understand. Another person I trusted with all my everything was Marco, Simon's best friend. I was almost 100% he would help me with this but something told me he wouldn't at the same time. I brushed that feeling off.
"Marco it's Val"
"Hey Val."
"Can you do me a favour?"
"I guess?"
"I really need your help, it's for Simon"
I heard a low sight that almost sounded like a grunt
"Val we said we wouldn't bring this up again"
"It's not that and this is mportant just listen to me"
My doubtful feeling the one I brushed off, was correct. He didn't want to talk about Simon but luckily somehow I got him to accept
"Alright."
I knew this had been hard on Marco, maybe just as hard as it had been on Simon's own family. Marco really was his best friend, they were very close. They had known each other for over 10 years.

Marco came to my house the next morning because he wanted to know exactly what the big deal was and why this thing of mine was so important.
"Marco we need to talk about something concerning my brother"
"I know"
"Well, okay. You know that job he was trying to apply for? I um, I can't let him pass it up and it's unfair because none of this is his fault."
"What are you trying to say?"
"He's going to get that job."
He laughed sarcastically and rubbed his chin
"You're funny Val, did you know that?"
"I'm serious, he's going to go to that boarding school and he's going to get the job he's always dreamed of having"
"What are you talking about, we don't know when he'll be back, it could be tomorrow, one year from now, for goodness sake he could come back never!!"
"Marco shut your mouth! You know damn well that's not going to happen! How could you say that?!"
He burst already. I couldn't blame him. He took a deep breath and looked at me.
"I'm so sorry..."
"It's fine."
Just then Amina walked it, she already had a confused look on her face. Marco was in tears and I was red in the face. But I continued, only this time I straight up said it.
