Chapter 1- Spring Break

Spring break was coming to an end, so I figured, gotta spend more time with my girl and my friends, so we decided to go on a double date. I was sitting with my arms draped around Jen's gently sloped shoulders as we waited for my friends to meet us up at the park.

Jen sat between my legs patiently, her knees to one side, keeping her legs and feet together as she looked up to the sky and then to me. I glanced at my torn gray jeans and then looked into her eyes, the color of the brightest skies that made me loose my breath. She looked back, letting her long black wavy hair to cascade over her shoulders and face, and bringing her body into my line of sight. Her hair gently tumbled to the side as her bangs whisked to the side.

"How long were we going to be waiting here? Cause it is going to be a while can you at least drop me off at home so I can change out of this dress? Or we could meet them up at the theaters." she looked away and off in the direction of her friend, who happens to be the jock of the school, Zander's house. Her soft voice danced in my ears as she begun to stand and twirl around a bit, bringing her small waist in front of me. I looked up at her as she looked down at me and I grabbed her waist pulling her close.

"You know you look beautiful in that dress babe."

"Still, its annoying and I want to change." Her hair fell and she pushed it behind her ear while continuing to look at me."Come on Gabe," I cracked a smile as she wrapped her arms around my neck gently trying to sway me. "At least let me go home first. Like what if I call Zander, and he drops me off at home. Then when everyone shows up you guys can pick me up at my place."

I thought about it, thinking everyone would be there soon, and she was just going to change and probably do her makeup. After a little bit I spoke, "Okay, as long as you are JUST getting dressed or doing your makeup. I don't know how long its going to be till they are here. But when they do we will head over."

"Okiedokie" She grabbed her hand pouch and then texted Zander. "Call me when they get here okay?" she kissed me on the cheek. A few moments later, Zander who lived a few houses over from the school, pulled up and honked at her and Jen hugged me tight before leaving.

Around 15 minutes later after Jen had left, Kelly and Shawn got to the park. " Where is Jen at?" Kelly pursued me with the question instantly as she came into hearing space.

"She's at home, she was uncomfortable in her dress so she went home, Zander dropped her off."

"Seriously? You trust that." Suddenly Shawn's voice came through. "You know Jen can be nice most of the time but haven't you noticed she's been pretty off lately? She's always so ready to leave, and barely hangs out with you. That and half the time she's not with you she's with Zander. You know how they can both my really you know, intimate. I just don't get how you can trust them."

I got up and quietly walked to my car and they followed me while i thought to myself. Am I really that naive? The car was quiet and as we drove down towards Jennifer's house. Once we got closer I noticed a car in the front. It wasn't her car, it wasn't her parents', whose was it? ZANDERS! We pulled up and passed the empty car and I quickly climbed out and shut the door and did a light jog to the front door. I opened the door and walked in, hearing music roam through the house.

I ran up the stairs, quiet to not make any noise and slowly opened up her bedroom door and peered in. Zander laid naked and sprawled out with his arms behind his head on her bed, with the biggest smirk. Quickly I looked over to the right and saw Jen wiping herself down with a towel giggling. My gut dropped and I gasped audibly, causing Jenny to whip her head to the door where I stood and scream. Quickly she covered herself with the towel and Zander jolted and ripped the covers over him.

"Gabe! Gabriella! Babe please! It's not what it looked like!" Jen yelled out to me and came to try to comfort me.

"No Jennifer! It's exactly what it looks like!" I pushed her away from me and continued, feelings being ripped apart and stirred. "You know what, no they were right, you are just a fucking sleep around! I'm done! We are through!" I yelled, pushing her further as she cowered to me and slammed her bedroom door.

I lost my mind, I lost myself and all my self control. Without thought I pulled some paintings that Jen had painted once she started taking art classes and pulled them off the wall and through them over the banister of the hallway and over the stairs. I Yelled and grunted in misery, anger and denial. Quickly I ran down the stairs and out the front door, slamming it and running blindly to my car.

As I started the car Jennifer ran out with her towel wrapped tight around her and she ran out to me. Quickly I hit the gas, letting my car charge away from the monster I have let myself love. After her house was no longer in sight, I tuned into my friends yelling.

"Hello?! Earth to Gabe? Helllooooo? Seriously, What the hell happened?" Kelly let out the words with a begging tone.

I clenched my jaw tuned them out again as my vision went slightly blurry from the anger boiling in my eyes. I pulled my right hand off the old steering wheel and punched it as I pulled into my driveway at my family's house. I turned off the car and felt my heart shatter as I put my forehead on the steering wheel, and let my tears come as they need.
