I don't know anyone who likes alarms. I don't know anyone who likes getting up early in the morning. I don't even know anyone my age who gets up before 12 on weekends and holidays! But, do you know why? Because those types of people are very rare to find.
Who likes the loud beep beep beep in the morning? Who likes being in the middle of class and the loud fire alarm goes off in all its glory scaring the poop out of you. Well, bad example.. it's a good waste of time and once you've been in a stuffy classroom for half an hour, some fresh air would be nice. So, fire alarm was a bad example.
But still when you're in the middle of a good dream and hearing the faint sound of an alarm getting louder and louder bringing you in to the harsh reality that you will never have a chance with Channing Tatum isn't the nicest thing to start off the day. Some people think that using their favourite song is going to help them wake up in a better mood, but no. The song will find a way to seep into their dream and make them miss their bus and have their mother drive them to school in an awkward silence. If you couldn't tell. Yes, that has happened to me, on several occasions...
Forcing myself to open my eyes, I turned off my loud, annoying alarm. I laid there in my bed just staring at thee ceiling not really thinking about anything. Not knowing how much time has past I slowly turned my head towards my clock. Welp. I have 10 minutes to get dressed, eat breakfast and do my bathroom routine.
Doing as much jumping as I could this early in the morning, I jumped out of bed threw open my closet door and scanned through everything. Not finding anything there, I looked through my dresser and found a white T-shirt and light blue shorts. Good enough, considering I'm going to be late and all. Looking at the time once more I decided I wasn't going to have enough time to shower, so I did what any other girl would do. I put my hair in a bun.
Once I was done getting ready and perfume was applied to cover up any smell that I had for not showering. I ran down the stairs and I didn't find anyone in the kitchen or living room. But, instead a note from my mom and dad.
Penelope,
Dad and I had to go out and get the car fixed.
Lunch is on the counter.
Love, Mom and Dad.
I looked over to the other side of the counter and I did see my lunch, a pudding and left over mac and cheese from last night. Yay. I just love left overs... I looked over at the stove clock and I have 7 minutes until the first bell rings signalling that all students have 2 minutes to get to class. Grabbing an apple and my bag, I headed out the door.
Man, 3 minutes to get ready. I'm impressed, but I guess when you leave out showering, skin care routine, only wearing mascara and applying lip gloss now; it's not going to take that much time to get ready. 3 minutes is a new record for me.
I was about 2 minutes away from the school when a car pulled up next to me.
"Hey! Are you headed for Beach View?" The guy in the car asked. He had brown hair that almost seemed black and grey and he wasn't that muscular. I figured if he was going to kidnap me, I would at least have a fighting chance, unless he had chloroform then all thoughts that have been said wouldn't stand a chance.
"Uh, yeah?" I answered him in more of a question. So much for "I answer questions with answers and not more questions" thing.
"I'm Logan by the way, and do you want a drive? I'm heading there now." Logan said with a smile.
"Uh... no I'm good. I can walk, it's not that far anyways. Thanks anyway!" I continued walking down the sidewalk. I've seen Criminal Minds, I don't care how nice and cute that guy looks, I am not getting in the car with him. Nuh uh, no way.
