"Why can't I find him?" Yura said with shock as her hairs searched the well for the boy.
"Don't fight them Inu" "huh?" Inu turned to see the old man sprawled on the ground bleeding. Inu rushed to his side. "What happened to you old man?" Inu asked "where is Kazuki?" Kyoka asked. "Tch! He went home" Inu snapped. "What happened to you old man?" Inu asked again. "I was attacked by the village girls who are being controlled." Kyoka said "controlled?" Inu asked "by the pieces of hair" Kyoka said pointing to the air. Inu looked at him and frowned "I don't see any hair" Kyoka said. "Of course, Kazuki must be able to see them too then" Kyoka said slowly standing to his feet. "Hey cool it down" Inu snapped helping the man to his feet. Suddenly the men of the village appear the same way the women did. "I'm getting real tired of this" Inu snapped. "Please... don't hurt them" Kyoka said. Inu growled but did as he asked. She grabbed him retreated to the woods.
"Hey old man... you said that boy could see those things... the hair" Inu said. He didn't respond "hmm" Inu muttered. She then began to dig a hole for him.
Kyoka slowly opened his eyes to Inu covering him with dirt. "I'm not dead Inu." Kyoka said "well think of this as a hiding spot" Inu said covering her other half with leaves. "You must find Kazuki. He will be able to see the hair" Kyoka said. "I hear you" Inu snapped as she went off to find Kazuki.
Inu stopped at the well "why did he leave his clothes?" Inu said touching the boy's weird clothes. She then realized that he really did go home. "He really did it... he really went back home" Inu said. Inu jumped into the well to bring the boy back.
Yura began pulling the hair back to her. She stopped to find beautiful silver hair. "My, my, my what pretty silver hair" Yura said holding it in her hands. "I must find who hair this is" Yura said with a giggle.
Kazuki sighed in relief. Who would have thought he would be so happy to take a bath? He scrubbed his hair with shampoo. "Shampoo is the best" Kazuki said on a sigh.
After his long relaxing bath Kazuki went into his bedroom and flopped on the bed. He missed his bed too. He reminisced on what happened. Getting pulled into the well, meeting Inu, the Sacred Jewel... he then remembered the girl. "What did she want anyway....the...the jewel of course" Kazuki said out loud. He sat up causing Buyo to jump off. "That's it. It was all just a dream I will forget it" Kazuki said. Kazuki sniffed the air and sighed it was good to be home. He got out of bed and walked into the dining room.
"I hope you enjoyed your bath Kazuki" his mother said brightly as she placed the rest of the food on the table. "Aw great I'm starving" Kazuki said brightly "Real food, real food, real food". "Kazuki, you can no longer go near that well" his grandfather stated. "I don't think he heard you grandpa" Rin said. "Ahh!" Grandpa whined.
"I can't wait to..." suddenly the door swung opened they all looked to see Inu. Kazuki couldn't believe it. "You idiot, you actually left" she snapped grabbing Kazuki and pulling him up. "Hey!" Kazuki exclaimed. "Wait!" Kazuki's mother exclaimed rushing to them. She then began to pinch her ears. "These are real" she said with awe. "Me next!" Rin exclaimed. "How did you get here?" Kazuki asked Inu. "Through the well duh" Inu snapped. "You lie!" Grandpa exclaimed "I sealed that well with sutras so no one could go or come from it" Grandpa snapped. Inu picked up one of the ripped up "sorry old man... but these things don't work" Inu said. "Wahhh!" Grandpa whined. "Let's go now" Inu snapped grabbing Kazuki. "Let me go you little..." Kazuki stopped when he saw the hair on Inu's shoulder. Kazuki touched it and it suddenly wrapped around his hand causing his hand to bleed. "It moved" Kazuki gasped. "Huh?" Inu asked "Kazuki your hand" his grandpa said with concern.
Kazuki rushed out of the house and towards the well. He knew it hair flowed out of the well. "I knew it" Kazuki said. There was hair. Lots and lots of it. "The old man was right, you do have the sight." Inu said calmly. "This is your fault. It followed you here" Kazuki snapped. "Kazuki! Are you alright?!" Grandpa and Rin exclaimed rushing towards them. "Don't come any closer!" Kazuki exclaimed and quickly slid the doors closed. I have to stop the hair from coming out. Kazuki thought. Inu stared at him. The hair charged at them Kazuki quickly moved out of the way. "There, in front of you!" Kazuki exclaimed. "Where? Here!" Inu exclaimed scratching at the air and missing it. Inu's ears flickered and she jumped up dodging the hair but in the process the hair wrapped around her arms and legs. "Hey! Open the door!" Grandpa exclaimed banging to the door. "Kazuki!" His mother exclaimed. Inu cut through the hairs. Kazuki watched from the door as the hair continued to regenerate. "It keeps regenerating" Kazuki said with surprise. They were going to get nowhere like this. Kazuki looked around, there had to be something controlling this bundle of hair. Kazuki's gaze caught to the single strand of hair coming out of the well. "That's it" Kazuki said. That one strand of hair was controlling the rest. If that hair cut... Kazuki rushed over to the well. "The strand that is controlling the rest is right here" Kazuki said. Inu was still fighting the other hair. "Which one? This one!" Inu asked scratching at the air. "Inu can't see it." Kazuki said as it dawned on him. "I will have to help" Kazuki said as he pulled the strand of hair. Kazuki flinched feeling the sharp hair cut into his skin. "It's this one right here" Kazuki said. "I see it" Inu said and with her sharp nails cutting the strand. The hair pulled back into the well. "It went back inside the well" Inu said. Kazuki rubbed his cut hand. That wasn't good. Yura had already gotten his part of the jewel. So why would she do this? Unless...unless what she really wanted was him and Inu. Kazuki began to walk to the well "let's go" Kazuki said. "Right now" he snapped. "Huh? I thought you didn't want to go back" Inu snapped. "I know I don't but I have no other choice" Kazuki said. If they didn't so something his family would be in danger too. Kazuki suddenly felt something warm on his head. He looked over at Inu with question. "It's made of hair of the Fire Rat... You'll have some protection at least" Inu said. "Oh... thank you" Kazuki said.
How nice of her. "Well if you didn't look so weird you wouldn't even need it" Inu snapped. And she ruined it. Kazuki thought "you should talk dog girl" Kazuki snapped. Inu jumped on the rim of the well. "Yeah, yeah are you ready?" Kazuki followed her and they both jumped down the well to the feudal era.
