Yura laid in her bed of bones. "They will be back any minute" she said. Yura grabbed a bright red skull and held it to her bosom. "And this time we won't let them get away will we" she said rubbed the skull.
"Hear me Inu! Kazuki really is Kaoru's reincarnation! He will help you out but little if he doesn't know his own power. Aid him Inu." Kyoka said. "Help him gather the shards and protect him" Kyoka blew a leaf out of his face. "Ye haveth not forget that I am here" Kyoka said.
"Are you sure that what this Yura person wants is us?" Inu said as they peaked out of the well. "Well yeah... she already has my part of the jewel so why else?" Kazuki said "She has your part of... how did that happen?" Inu snapped. "There are alot of strands of hair... if we follow the main one I'm sure it will lead us to Yura" Kazuki said changing the subject as he looked around. "Don't try to change the subject..." "over there" Kazuki said pointing in the direction of the one strand of hair he saw.
They followed the strand of hair to a campsite. "Their heads are gone" Kazuki said with shock. "These were soldiers from the village. Seems like their heads were cut clean off." Inu said after inspecting the corpses. "Don't chicken out and say you're afraid or you wanna go home" Inu snapped. Kazuki picked up a bow and a quiver of arrows. "Actually I thought I'd borrow these" Kazuki said. If they didn't stop Yura more innocent people would die. Inu looked at the weird boy who she continued to grow respect for. This weak boy had some guts, she gave him that.
"I don't know why you picked them up. You won't hit nothing" Inu snapped. "I can practice" Kazuki snapped as they landed on a tree. "Tch practice? Don't you mean learn" Inu snapped. Kazuki held on to Inu. "I have to do it. I believe I can do it... even if it's just this once" Kazuki said. Her respect for the weak mortal grew even more. Maybe he could do it after all. Inu thought.
"It's closer" Kazuki said as he spotted even more strands of hair. Suddenly the strands moved and cut down the tree that they were standing on. Inu quickly moved out of the way with Kazuki on her back. More bundles of hair charged towards them. "They're here!" Kazuki exclaimed. Inu quickly moved out of the way. "From the left! Now from the right!" Kazuki exclaimed. Inu continued to dodge them. They jumped high enough to see that there were too many bundles of hair that they probably couldn't dodge. "There's too many" Kazuki said. "You have to help" he added. "Me?! I am helping! You're really not good for much are ya?" Inu snapped. "It's coming from the left" Kazuki said. Inu quickly moved out of the way again. "Behind you!" Kazuki exclaimed as they moved from one rock to the other. "Give me a break" Inu snapped. Suddenly Inu was grabbed by the wrist pulling her. "AHHH!" "Inu!" Kazuki exclaimed. Inu was lifted up into the air where they saw a huge hair ball. "A huge hair ball..." That's it. That must be Yura's hideout. "Yura's hiding place" Kazuki said.
Yura appeared before them using the strands of hair to support herself. "Oh my look at the cute doggy" Yura said. Inu tried to free herself from the hair bondage but she couldn't. "You must be Inu" "And you must be Yura? How do you know me?" Inu snapped. "Let's just say a little birdie told me. Everyone is saying a half demon, Inuyasha is playing fetch with the reincarnation of that priest" Yura said. "Me with that half witted human down there as if" Inu snapped. "Oh? It looks like you're both half wits to me... just look at what you did to the poor jewel" Yura said pulling the small pouch out of her bosom and pulling out the jewel. "Why you...." Inu growled.
"That's the jewel she stole from me" Kazuki said. "Either way I will kill both of you and look for the rest of the shards" Yura said. "You deal with me? When this is over you're gonna wish you never met me. Or ever heard my name!" Inu exclaimed breaking out the restraints and charging after Yura. Yura easily dodged Inu and attacked her with even more bundles of hair. Once again Inu was restrainted. "Dammit not this again" Inu snapped. Yura appeared behind her. "My what pretty silver hair... it seems you haven't been taking care of it. Just look at those horrible split ends" Yura said. "Grrr...Get off of me!" Inu exclaimed. Yura fell down and landed on a string of hair only to come back up. As she was coming up she pulled out a sword and cut Inu. "Wahhh!" Inu exclaimed in pain.
Kazuki looked on from a distance. "Inu" Kazuki said with shock. Yura licked the blood off her sword with a seductive laugh. "I'm going to cut you into little pieces" Yura said and charged towards Yura. Suddenly an arrow flew across her causing her to stop. She looked over at Kazuki. He was ready to fire another one. "Get her down right now" Kazuki snapped. "Or next time I won't miss I promise you" Kazuki said. Yura looked surprised. "The boy who fell in the well" she said.
"I know you heard me! Get her down!" Kazuki snapped. Yura straightened "Aw it looks like he wants his puppy back, Inu. What a sweet little doggy you must be" Yura mocked. Inu growled and turned to Kazuki. "I thought I told you to hide not draw attention to yourself" Inu snapped. "Too bad his hair isn't as pretty as yours Inu.. but then again... waste not want not" Yura said.
"I could care less about my hair being prettier or uglier than Inu's." Kazuki snapped as he released the arrow. Instead of heading towards Yura as he had planned it almost hit Inu. Inu quickly dodged it, "would you watch where you're aiming that thing please" Inu snapped. The arrow hit the ball of hair. It glowed and suddenly the hair and the skulls of the dead men flowed out of it. Kazuki gasped and Yura looked in horror. "OH no! Just what have you done!" Yura exclaimed. "The guys we saw from the village" Inu said with shock. "Don't worry you will be joining them once I separate that body from the pretty silver hair of yours" Yura said. She let the hairs lower her down and she lifted up her little red comb. "But first that boy over there must die" Yura exclaimed. The strands of hair caught on fire and moved to Kazuki. "Ahhh!" Kazuki exclaimed as the flames engulfed him and he fell to the ground. "There, hot enough for you? The heat will burn you right down to your bones" Yura said. "Someone, help me" Kazuki coughed as he covered his mouth with his hands.
"That's for emptying out my lair" Yura said. "Huh?" Inu said with disbelief. "There won't be anything but ash" Yura said. "Come on" Inu snapped. "Oh! I almost forgot. Pets are never to outlive their masters!" Yura snapped pulling out her sword and charging towards Inu. Inu dug in her chest and bloodied her claws. "Blades of Blood!" Inu exclaimed. Red beams came from her hand. and cut off Yura's right wrist. She jumped back, "No fair" she snapped. "Haha how'd you like that?" Inu said. "Serves you right" she added. "You little bitch! You should have some restraint. What? You were brought up in a dog house" she snapped. The skulls from her hideout began to cackle. Suddenly the arm that was cut off stabbed Inu in the shoulder with her sword Inu screams in pain. The hand comes back to Yura and the hair attaches it back to her body. "Half demon, half power I should have known" she mocks"Poor thing" she says pulling the jewel out of her bosom. "You probably wanted the jewel to become all demon" She says, Inu growls.. "Now for the final blow" Yura says lifting the comb for a final attack. She stops suddenly feeling a tug on her hair. She turns to find the boy that had just burned up. "Why don't you die!" Yura exclaimed. She lifted her comb and the boy was held up. "What is going on here?" she says lowering to look Kazuki in the face.
Kazuki wondered the same thing, Yura had stabbed him and burned him and he was still kicking. He then remembered that Inu had given him her kimono. "It's made of hair from the Fire Rat... You'll have some protection at least ''''let's put you to the test" Yura says wrapping a strand around Kazuki's neck and begins choking him. "Blades of Blood" Inu calls out cutting the hairs that were holding Kazuki and causing him to fall. Inu catches him. The hairs bring Yura back together. "You can't kill me, I am immortal" Yura declares. Kazuki finds a red skull that seems to be the source of Yura's power. "This red skull! It's what is giving Yura her powers!"He says as he uses an arrow and begins to break it. "Stop that!" Yura exclaims in horror. "I'll kill you!" Kazuki broke it all the way and Yura turned into what she was. A comb. "A comb" Kazuki said with surprise."You're hurt pretty bad" Kazuki said. That's not important, where's the jewel?" Inu asked. They find the jewel where Yura's remains were. All of this for some jewel, Kazuki couldn't understand what the big deal was. "Come on Kazuki" she says. Kazuki looks at her with surprise. "What's with that look?" Inu snapped. "This is the first time you said my name" Kazuki pointed out. "So?" Inu snapped. Kazuki gave a slight smile "I just think it's kind of nice of you" he says. Inu blushes and turns away. "Don't look too much into it, I just need you to get the jewel shards for me" she snaps. "Is that right?" Kazuki asked, of course they couldn't have a civil conversation. "Remind me next time not to save you" Kazuki snapped patting her on the back. "Owwww!" Inu cries falling on the ground. "If it hurt so much you should've said something" Kazuki snapped.
