I made my way to school with Jimin and Soohee again. We we're walking towards the school gates and my eyes we're glued on my phone.
I was re reading the messages me and Taehyung were sending last night, a soft smile spread across my face. He was so cute.
I was excited to see him again today but my mood was dampened when I remembered what day it was.
I sighed and dragged my feet along the floor. Soohee knows about the whole Taehyung issue now, and Jimin warned both of us to stay away from him, but I felt like I needed to see him for myself, he can't really be that bad, can he?
He was such a sweet loving person and it was hard to believe. I started to realise that it was complete nonsense, he just might of been having a bad day when I called him, your whole identity can't be shaped so easily on a daily basis. That's crazy.
Yeah. Im going to talk to him. I don't care.
I ran ahead of my two friends and rammed the school door open, I then sped walked down the corridor to my first class, where he should be waiting. I popped my head through the door and the class was nearly full, but Taehyungs seat was empty. I frowned and made my way to my own seat, and dropped my bag on the table. I examined the room closer, and apart from Soojaes, Jimins and Taehyungs, there was one more seat that was empty. I shrugged it off and plopped down in my seat.
I pulled out a small mirror and took a quick glance at my face. Gasping at my monster like figure, I quickly rummaged through my bag and tamed my hair.
Jimin and Soohee walked in and took their seats at the back, laughing at something again. Since them two met, Jimin barley talks to me, and I'm starting to feel a little jealous. Oh well.
The teacher walked in and the class settled into their chairs. She looked much more depressed than usual and she didn't make any effort to sit down and start the lesson. Instead, she just stood motionless at the front for a while before she opened her mouth.
"Class is canceled today. The school is closed until further notice."
The room filled with sounds of excitement and confusing chitter. The teacher made no effort once again to quieten the class but just waited until time done it for itself. When the room silenced again, I waited for the reason.
"There has been a death this morning before school. Done by suicide upon the top of the school building. The boys friends have told the police it was due to bullying, therefore, the school is to be shut until a suspected has been found."
Everyone was silent for minute or too, probably to pay respects to the boy, and a girl stood up from the front of the room and sobbed her way outside. Probably a family member. I thought to myself.
I took a look at the seat that was empty and realised it was the boy Taehyung was eying up the other day. An shocking idea sprung in mind, but I quickly covered it and told myself I'm being stupid. Of course Tae wouldn't do such a thing. Bully someone until his suicide? No...
I looked behind my shoulder at Jimin but his head was faced down and his hands were in a fist on his cheeks.
One by one, the students stood up and made their way out the classroom. They were obviously happy that is was a no school day, but the reason why wasn't something to cheer about, so the room was silent until we reached outside the school. An ambulance came speeding towards us, nearly causing another accident before a kid jumped out its path.
I looked over to my right and police we're making their way into the yellow taped area, and many reporters started grabbing kids from left and right begging for interviews.
I turned to Jimin and Soohee who just made their way outside.
"You don't think...?"
He gave me a long stare. "I don't think he would go that far, but I'm telling you, there's no proof of anything. Understand?"
And nodded and he sighed happily. "Come on, let's get out of here, fancy an ice cream?"
"No, I think I'll just go on home."
"Oh cool, we'll walk you." Soohee chimed in.
"No, no. It's fine, really." I wrapped my arms around her neck and squeezed her tightly.
"See you later."
I turned around and walked on out away from the noise, until I was making my way through a quiet street.
My thoughts swamped my mind. I never even knew the boy, but the feeling of him once being in the same room with me, and he can't be anymore, gives me a horrible feeling in the gut.
I close my eyes and realised I was crying a little. With them still shut, I blindingly walked into someone and quickly apologised, but it was cut short when I looked up to see who it was.
"Minseo-ah, I've been waiting for you."
I looked at Taehyung and a saw a sharp silver object tucked gently under his sleeve. I stopped dead in my tracks and stared up at him.
"You were the one who call me?"
I froze and my mind seemed to go blank.
"Not speaking huh?"
He forcefully pulled out my arm and twisted it so my palm was facing downward.
He stroked my skin with the blade.
"Such beautiful skin. But why does it have to cover up all your insides? Best thing about a person if you ask me."
He dug the blade into my arm and trailed it in a downwards directions.
Tears started to blurr my vision and an agonising pain shot through my body. I attempted to pull away but his grip was too strong.
His sickening evil eyes were trained on the oozing red liquid quickly spilling out of my arm. He seemed delighted when the stuff made a successful attempt to stain his hands.
"Beautiful. Isn't it?"
I yanked my hand away and broke out into a run. Unfortunately, he effortlessly stuck his leg out and I went tripping onto the pavement. My vision wasn't adapting properly to the new found darkness, as I felt him pick me up and take me along down the road.
