She was scared. She heard that they were not normal, but she did not expect this. So many of them all at once. They walked funny, like they were all limping, and they stared right into your soul. They were diseased humans. They were still alive, but so deranged, they could never be brought back, so they were as good as dead.
She had no idea what to do, so, she ran. The school community said they could run whenever, but don’t be expected to run back, so, she did not leave, just hid. Hid until it was all over.
