Charlotte's POV

"Three...Two...Oh come on you clock...ONE!!!" I shouted even louder than the bell itself, and rushed out. I'd never been more excited since such a long time. It was my first date after all! Half way out, I stopped to fix my hair and clothes. I needed to look breath-taking to Logan, and most of all, I didn't want him to think I had been hypervenlating because of my over-excitement. "Stay cool, Lot, keep it cool" I thought to myself.

Finally reaching the front yard, I caught Logan smirking, his eyes lit up at my sight. His last class must have been P.E, as his hair was still wet after the instant shower.

Turned out he was the breath-taking one out of the two of us.

"Focus Charlotte!!! The last thing you want him to think is that you are obviously drooling over him and his wet hair and his stunning blue eyes and his heart-melting smile..." said my inner voice. But it wasn't on my side this time.

As I walked nearer, the slight scent of boy perfume mixed in my inhale, making my heart flutter a bit more.

... And the smell." the annoying inner voice finished. I'm sorry inner Lottie, you're officially fired.

Oh great I'm talking to myself.

"Hey Logan. Didn't expect you to be so...on time! Haha..." The word "hot" or "decent-looking" almost slipped out, but my timing was perfect. "You know boys can be really late and we girls aren't impatient or anything we just feel really appreciated if you spend a tic in your precious time and take a look at the watch... Oh wait I didn't realise we wear matching shirts today, see? Blue-blue! What a great coincidence, by the way I'm not saying this because I've been stalking on you or anything that would be creepy..." Just stop all your "blah blah"s already Charlotte Elizabeth Grace!!!! Okay the last one was not entirely true, I really had been paying attention to his fashion and he must have owned a closet full of blue shirts, while I, on the contrary, was wearing my only one with the hope of "accidentally" matching his. Wait... Since when did I get so interested in clothes?? He'd probably be thinking I was so shallow that I didn't deserve a date with him... Breathe, Lot, breathe.

To my surprise, he chuckled and shyly looked down at the ground. I wondered if he had read the mess in my head. "Shall we go?". I nodded with a sheepish smile.

We talked about all things along the way. Mostly we shared little facts about ourselves, but joked every once in a while. Turned out Logan was quite a funny guy behind all those walls. I just couldn't stop talking to him. Somehow I felt a strange attachment, the feelings were so relaxing, calm and peaceful, but fluttering at the same time. It felt like we had known each other for years and years, like we grew up together. Maybe it was just experiences which Logan gained when he studied people that helped him read through every word I said. This was the first time Logan had ever opened up to me, as the latest occasion we got to really communicate, I was literally sobbing and did almost all the talking myself. He was such an interesting guy that it kept me wondering why nobody noticed him. So far, I'd known he had two other siblings, both names also start with an "L", he's obsessed with sushi, his favorite color is blue and his mother's passion for baking is stronger than that of Phineas and Ferb's Candace to bust her brothers. We just enjoyed our small talks, nothing too big or important.

After a half-an-hour walk, we finally reached the local park. He motioned me to the green lawn, and as we sat down, he put on his misterious smile: "Wait for it.", the excitement in his eyes was sparkling. Suddenly, a big guy, probably in his late 20s, came with the kindest smile, holding a pipe. Then he started blowing bubbles. All kinds of sizes and shapes, those cute little bubbles, as colorful under the sun as they were, were the most beautiful things I'd ever seen. It was like they were carrying rainbows and sunshines. Then, one bubble "swallowed" another one, and there came many other duos, making it even more fantastic to watch. As childish as it sounds, I just wanted to be shrunk to Tinker Bell's size and fly away with them, dancing from one to another. Fairy tale, that's what it was. I could feel Logan sharing the same thoughts. After a series of extraodinary-looking bubbles, the big guy ended his show with lots and lots of small ones, almost fulfilling the sky every step he walked. Out of nowhere, Logan took my hand, his other one popping the bubbles. We ended up running around trying to pop the most bubs, laughing like two three-year-old maniacs, but that was the least we cared about. We were having the time of our lives, young, wild and free. Our hearts were bursting out with happy adrenaline. We were truly infinite.

Popping the very last bubbles, we fell to the ground, exhausted but still laughing our arses off. There we were, lying next to each other under the dim light of sunset. I couldn't stop my heart's wrong beats. I was nervous, shaking. But then...he really took my hand. Somehow it felt different from fifteen minutes ago when he motioned me to pop the bubbles. His hands were warmer, his blue eyes meeting mine, suddenly eased down. Our fingers intertwined, and if you try hard enough, you'll hear the beats of our hearts. My lips curled into a weak smile, not only was I speechless but also all my senses seemed to be frozen. No one ever held my hand like that, as in no one had ever made me felt like that when they do. He was grinning too, almost awkwardly, but it was still happiness. The silence turned out alright, like we were just enjoying the moment to ourselves.

- Charlotte...erm...having a little bit of music would be better, don't you think?

I nodded, confused.

Logan's smile was more mischievous than ever, which made my heart fluttered. I started to consider this suggestion to be quite bold?

He plugged in the earphones and put one in my right ear. "If My Heart Was A House" by Owl City came on, and I felt a tense joy running through my veins. I closed my eyes, forgot about the world, about the bully, all the loss I'd ever been through. What a perfect afternoon with a perfect boy and the perfect background music, as when I thought it couldn't get any better, a accidental touch from Logan woke me up. I found his eyes glued on me, observing my face, he was a bit surprised by my sudden move, but he kept on mouthing the lyrics, like it was meant for me. He looked me in the eye, and sang along with Adam Young.

"Circle me and the needles moves gracefully

Back and forth, if my heart was a compass you'd be North

Risk it all cause I'll catch you if you fall

Wherever you go, if my heart was a house you'd be home..."

I moved closer to him, our skin's touch turned into electricity running through my veins. His scent was all around, overwhelmed me. He tucked a hair of mine to the side, lovingly brushed my cheeks which were probably teary by then. I was happy beyond words.

My naughty eyes kept traveling down to his lips, like in those teen movies I'd watched. Surely 15 isn't too young to have a girl's first kiss, right? Logan noticed that, too, as he started doing the same.

We leaned in, inch by inch. I was ready for this. He was the one...

"You've got the best of both world

Chill it out, take it slow

Then you rock out the show"

My ring tone. What perfect timing.

I huffed as the screen flashed. It was a text from mom.

"How's the date honey?:) Don't get home too late or you'll miss my homemade dinner! -Mom"

Someone was a bit too excited today. She cooked, apparently.

- I think it's late. I should probably take you home. -suggested Logan

- No, I'll be fine on my own. Your mother must be worried sick now, too.

- Charlotte, just let me take you home. You have no idea how much can happen in just one walk home alone...

- I'm really fine, Logan.

- Please. -he insisted. There was something so stern in his voice that made me impossible to disobey.

- Okay.

And my most perfect afternoon ended with us racing to my house under the sunset, our shadows printed to the road playing our every step like a movie...

Me and Logan. Logan and me. Us.
