Hello?

"Bend your knees.." I told myself as the ground seemed to come towards me, or, rather, the other way.

I made hard contact with the ground, stumbling forward just a bit. My feet and legs stung, but I was alive, nonetheless.

I found myself behind a two-story house. 'Surely someone must live here?' I thought. 'I do hope they'll cooperate and hand over the residence..'

I walked up the steps to the door, my legs still aching. I kocked a few times, to which there was no reply. This happened twice times before I simply opened the door, which, surprisingly, was not locked.

"Hello?" I called into the house. Still, not a sound except for my footsteps on the hard wood floor. I checked every room on the first floor, where there was nobody. Not a trace of life.

I found the staircase that lead to the second floor of the house and decided to go up.

"Hello? Does anybody reside here?" I called, checking a few more rooms.

Then I heard a noise from behind me. Not just the creaking of an old house, a person.

"I guess this house is not as vacant as I had hoped." I thought aloud.

"Who are you? How did you get in?" A woman's voice asked me.

"If you'd rather people not wander into your home, it would be a good idea to lock the door." I answered with a smirk.

She cursed under her breath, realizing that she had, infact, forgotten to lock the door. "But that doesn't answer my first question." she said.

"Maybe you should answer mine first." I said.

"You didn't /ask/ a question," the woman stated.

"I'm asking one now," I told her. "Where am I?"

"My house, idiot." She said, as if I were just asking to be a fool.

"No," I said, "What realm?"

"Realm.....?" she asked quietly, comfused as to what I meant.

"Can you at least tell me the planet?" I asked, exhausted with dealing with her idiocy.

"What kind of stupid, psycotic trick are you trying to pull, bub?" I felt her press a gun to the side of my head.

"Now, now," I turned to face her, smirking. "You might not want to point that at me."

She gasped in realization. "Loki.."

"So you do know me." I took a few steps past her, looking around. "From the looks of the place, I can presume this is Midgard..." I turned to her. "I would be correct, yes?"

"If that's alien for Earth, then yes," she replied, her gun still trained on me.

"God, not Alien," I corrected.

"You're a god, huh?" she asked half-rhetorically. "God of what? Annoyance?"

"Mischief, actually," I ignored her "witty" comeback. "And fire. But that's a whole different story."

"A story you don't have time to tell, because I'm calling the athorities," she retorted.

I scoffed. "By the time they arrive I'll be gone, and their only evidence will be your bloody corpse." I saw a flicker of terror in her eyes, but she was determined to stay brave. "Or you could cooperate and hand over your residence, and I might allow you to live."

"That's not going to happen," she informed me. "Because then, I would not only be helping you, a muderous, lying, criminal, but then I would have given you everything I own."

"Pledge alegence to me, and I will give you what you need."

"What I need is for you to go back to wherever you came from, and leave me alone."

"Aah, I see," I said, circling around her. "You're going to be corageous, a warrior, and fight for your home, right? You're not going to give in to a 'criminal' such as myself. You plan on keeping your home, but I'm here to tell you that you need to change your plans." I smirked. "I am a /god/, and you are /mortal/. I am /above you/. Kneel before me, for I shall one day rule over your precious 'Earth'."

"Ha!" the woman laughed sarcastically. "Over my dead body."

"That can be aranged," I threatened, but I knew I wouldn't kill her. Not yet. However, she seemed to know this, too.

"You don't scare me," she said, "If anything, you motivate me to fight harder."

"Okay, Alright..." I took a few steps back. "Perhaps I should leave?" I held back a smirk. "Or perhaps..." I glanced down at my sceptor and held it so that I could posses her heart with the left-over power of the tesseract. "Perhaps I'll just change your intentions..."

As I walked toward her, I heard a loud bang and felt a sharp pain in my side. She had shot me.

"I'm about to make you wish you hadn't done that."
