CHAPTER #1

Jade POV

5th of Jan , that's the date I finally travel and leave this place , I will miss you so much mom , don't worry , if I had the chance any soon I'd pay you a visit..gd bye mom love ya <3 ..
I quickly cut off the sheet of paper from my notepad and place it on mom's grave along with a red flower that gave off a beautiful fragrance before picking up my hand bag and suitcase to leave.
6:20 I'm supposed to be riding the train at station 4 in 40 minuits , I have to hurry! I quickly adjusted my grey beanie and Left.

The station wasn't that crowded , I guess it's because the journey is a bit early . I took out my ticket and hurried inside the train catching a seat by the window , mmm not bad, I smile , I really love sitting by the window .

Since I was 6 , I used to have a fight with carl, my brother, to sit by the windows !

He travelled to Colorado and decided to settle there and would occasionally send me 5 letters a year, and I'm glad he really settled over and started a happy life with his wife and I really can't wait to see her ,I thought smiling.

After my mother's death , me and my brother have decided to travel , although we did not have enough money.

I worked as a waitress in a café for 5 months to pay off for my college but my brother had to travel and my money  wouldn't be enough to get me registered for a year in college so I had to drop out anyway and gave him part of my saving. I really loved college , I had a couple of friends there , Belle , Cale , and Amy , I still contact them but not as recently as before.

I stared out of the window at the green meadow for what seemed like half an hour until I dazed off.

'Dad! Don't do that!! Leave mom , dad!!'...I had to do this , next thing I knew was ..mom wasn't alive after she spoke those words' I love you jade and Carl ,be good'.. her eyes shut and the hot tears streamed off my face , anger bubbled inside of me and next thing I knew I yelled at my father in full rage and agony but little did I know it was my turn, until I hit him off with what I was able to grab , he fell into the floor and I scurried off making a run , I grabbed my brother's hand to leave once he came from school , when he saw my tears , he knew something was wrong 'what happened jade? Is it father again? ' 'h-he k-killed-d her, c-cale , he k-killed m-mom!! ' he was shocked and horrified , I kept tugging on to him trying to get him to leave but he wouldn't budge , 'w-where's him..?' 'I-i don't k-know , b-but we h-have to l-leave now!' He got up with me and we spent the night in a nearby forest until the next day , when the news were published , I've heard a man saying ' what a tragedy ,alcoholic father found dead and mother dead as well and their son and daughter not found ' I was shocked to say the least , I didn't realise I killed my own father . I started crying again , not for father but because the shock was overwhelming and hard to take in , I just couldn't process the fact that I've killed him , more over I killed a human being, I've turned into my father , the worst monster I've ever seen. I kept running and running once the news hit me hard not bothering to wipe off the tears. my brother has found me after an hour of search since i haven't gotten that far and eventually stopped ..He took me to his friend's to stay over until we can rent our own house , it all happend 3 years ago but the memory keeps haunting me , and I'd still try to escape but with no use , I may smile a few times but I'd have to suffer the chasing scenery which my mind would replay over and over again .

"Ma'am, hello, are you okay ? Can you wake up?... , I am sorry to wake you up incessantly but I couldn't leave you here alone"

My eyes fluttered open upon hearing the deep voice to see a young guy waking me up with a concerned look.

I looked around , yup alone , everyone was gone and the train wasn't moving anymore. After a minuit of taking in my surrounding , I met the guy with hazel eyes , well I don't know his name so I decided to just call him the guy with hazel eyes, I chuckled at that.

"Umm , excuse me ..? Are you okay ? "He smiled genuinely

"yes , I'm fine , thanks for waking me up , you can leave now , I'm awake."

He looked at me for a moment skeptically , I smiled assuringly, then he just waved and left .
