Job OR Jade ?

chapter #3

I searched for a cap and once I've finally gotten one headed for the house for which I've phoned it's owner to rent.

Once I've made it there, I paid the cap driver and took out my keys.

The insides of the house were truly mesmerizing, it wasn't a big house though it was beautiful.The living room was cream colored paired with the wooden tiles .Few pictures of painted flowers hung on the wall . the house had further 2 rooms ,one which belonged to me .My room had red and white walls ,although I like blue , the red and white gave off some elegance to my room. The guestroom had white walls with a few other flower pictures, i guess the owner really liked flowers.

I immediately changed into my pajamas and slept not bothering to take a shower.

I unpacked my suitcase making sure everything is organized and in its respective place .

I quickly took a shower then put on a black loose shirt and my jeans before heading out to grab myself something for dinner from a nearby supermarket.

I skidded through the shelves and grapped two nutella jars along with few chocolates and other stuff needed for dinner.

I was finally done shopping and went to pay before noticing that I've grabbed few cash with me , I seriously need to get myself a job here..

The cashier guy looked at me expectantly.Upon noticing my sheepish smile he raised an eyebrow at me .

"Uh I guess I forgot to get a few more cash with me so I'll just remove some o-"
I was interrupted when a girl round my age asked the cashier guy and paid for me.

"keep the change",she smiled and looked at me smiling.
I smiled back at her and waited until she was done paying for her own stuff.

She had long black hair with few curls and pale skin .her eyes were light chocolate brown. She wore a dark blue sundress and sandals.

"Hey , I'm jade ,thanks for earlier I can be dump sometimes " I said smiling.

"It's alright, and I'm Emma lewis ,it's nice to meet you",she said extending her hand for a handshake to which I gladly accepted .

"So Emma , I'll guess I'll see you around then sometime later hopefully" I told her.

"Sure !, do you live nearby , I'll give you a ride home if you want " she offered.

I looked at her gleaming eyes and I think I trusted her enough to give me a ride seeing as I can not walk all the way holding all of those bags and since I didn't have money for a cap either  thus accepting her offer gratefully.

Throughout the ride we talked together more openly and I came to know she lives also nearby , she seems very friendly and I already considered her a new friend of mine .

Once we arrived , we exchanged numbers and promises to hangout some time later .

I, then unlocked my front door and placed all of the bags in the kitchen  ,changed into my PJs and started to prepare dinner .

after dinner I took out my laptop and started to search for online jobs that offered good pay ,however, I've only come across 2 restaurants and a library .

I typed in my email address and other details in each of them , one of the two restaurants required a part-time work thus i hoped I'd be accepted in it , the library also offered part-time work and the pay wasn't much however it was sufficient.

I then shut off my laptop after some online writing, I've always wanted to study literature and publish books written by me but being a college dropout doesn't help thus I decided to work my ass if I really wanted to get back to join college someday ,it's now my aim..

I pulled on the cover sheets above my head and set my alarm then set off into sleep dreaming of mother..
