Job OR Jade ?

chapter#8

Recap:

He looked at me again and smiled, "jade I want you to head home and rest, it's what you need"

"But I'm supposed to drive my friends back home as well"I argued

"You can't do that in this state ,I'll take care of them,I visit that restaurant a lot so I know them all ,I'll drive you home and then drive the rest "

I nodded and headed into the passenger's seat.

Something struck my mind, so I asked him once he buckled how seatbelt.

"jasper , why do you carry a Gun?"

"Stop questioning, sweetheart ,you need to rest now , when you're fine we'll talk "he patted my shoulder.

I sighed distraught, and nodded as I climbed to the passenger's seat and buckled my seatbelt.

"So where do you live?" He asked whilst moving his seat slightly backwards.

I kept on pointing out the directions until my house came into view.

He parked his car in the driveway ,I unbuckled my seatbelt.

He did the same and was about to open the door , when I held his wrist firmly .

He looked at me taken aback by the slight gesture.

Ignoring the sparks and goosebumps ,I spoke ,"listen jasper , I'm really sorry for today ,this shouldn't have happened ,I -I thought I can handle taking care of myself but apparently I can not, I'd also want to thank you so much and-"

Cutting me off he said, "jade , don't you thank me again believe me it's my duty to save you-anyone in such a situation and don't apologize either "

I had something in mind but I've been hesitant whether I can ask him or not so in such a state that I've become after tonight ,my brain stopped thinking over because next thing I knew I was asking him , "jasper do you fight?"

"What do you mean?" He asked confused.

"You throw good bunches ,kicks , that sort of fight , do you ?"I clarified

"Uh yeah I'm trained on all stuff like that "he answered yet his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Can-can you teach me how to fight ?"I blurted out.

He was shocked and tried to read through my thoughts.

"I can teach you how to fight but why?"

"I want to be able to defend myself ,I'm sick of being weak ,I'm sick of being a victim to the stronger ones and-" I paused biting my lip and catching myself from blurting out my past .

I looked at him ,his eyes trailed to my lips before trailing back to my eyes , "and what?"

"That's all ,I just want to be able to keep myself safe" I answered.

"well, tomorrow I'm free all day long, when do you suggest I stop by ?" He asked smiling.

"Umm perhaps at 4 pm and thanks a lot ,this'd mean a lot to me"

"It's no matter,but are you going to be a good student and follow the rules?" He asked playfully.

"Only if my teacher isn't a strict boring one ,then yes I'd be a good student "

He laughed while I joined him.

Once we stopped I was going to open my door when we both noticed my hand still holding onto his wrist , I pulled away immediately as if my hand was going to catch fire ,when the real fire was now burning my cheeks in embarrassment .

He walked me to my doorstep , "well , that's my cue to leave "he smiled

"See you tomorrow jasper" I smiled back before he waved and rode off to drive my friends as well.

I just headed inside ,and as creepy as it sounds I sniffed his shirt ,he had a faint Smell of vanilla and a more evident smell of cologne.

I smiled , changed and folded his shirt in my wardrobe not planning on returning it , I consider it mine for now ,I'm sure he wouldn't mind. I chuckled at the thought and felt the foreign feeling of butterflies having a fluttering war in my stomach.

I headed to sleep after a shower trying hard to forget how I've been almost violated today ,the events of today in the club just sickened my stomach ,so I played a song (killing me inside by ATB feat Sean Ryan) on my phone and tried to sleep.

I know its a short chapter but next one is going to be long and full of more details about jade and jasper :)
