True Evil

Later he asked me if I was okay. Okay, is a pretty broad word when you've run away, been kidnapped by a magical shadow, hit with a arrow, and woke up in a tree.

I blinked my eyes open and squinted in the harsh sunlight. My head pounded against my skull and my hand was numb. The world came into focus and I saw a hand hovering above of my body. I sat up so fast my head hit the palm of the hand with my forehead. I guess it was like a face palm, except it wasn't my palm.

I looked up and saw that boys face. I looked down at my hand and saw it was wrapped in bloody bandages. "Are you really Peter Pan?"

He looked down at me and smiled. "Yes. I am"

I tried to wrap my head around it. Peter Pan. I was sitting in a tree with Peter Pan. 'Oh my god i'm sitting in a tree with Peter Pan.'

I watched as he began to re-wrapped my hand. As he took the bloody bandages off I stared at my hand. There was a hole going straight through it. The veins were black, and blood stained my palm.

"What the bloody hell was on that arrow?" I asked, looking at his worried face.

"Dreamshade." He replied without looking at me.

"What does it do." I questioned cautiously.

"It kills you."

"WHAT?!"

"Calm down, i'm not going to let it hurt you. There's a spring here, with waters that can heal any wound, including poison."

"Then why aren't we there?" I asked wondering what I was doing in a tree.

"Because, like all magic, it comes with a price. And it's yours to pay."

I used my good hand to reach into my pocket and scrounge for money. I pulled out one pound and a candy wrapper. "I have a pound, is that enough?"

He looked at my money and frowned, "Not that kind of price. In order for you to live, you can never leave the island."

"You mean, I can't go home?"

He nodded grimly. "This is why I didn't bring you to the spring, I knew you wouldn't want to stay."

I laughed. "Are you kidding me?"

His eyebrow went up, god dang that eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"I ran away from my family. Plus they're not even my real family, i'm adopted. Now come on, I really like living. Let's get to that magical water."

He chuckled and scooped me into his arms. I screamed as everything went dark for seconds and we appeared not in a tree, but next to a wall of thorns with me clinging to Peter's neck.

"Thank you, for deafening me." Peter said as he set me down on the smooth stone.

"Haha, your welcome."

I looked around and took in the new scenery. There was smoothed out dirt and a large bramble bush with black thorns. I could hear the sound of water, but I couldn't locate where the sound was coming from.

Not until Peter used his magic to move the thorns and show a trickling waterfall.

"Is that it?" I asked, walking toward the pool of water at the bottom of stones.

Peter nodded and took out a cup. I watched as he scooped the water into the small silver cup and handed it to me.

"Are you sure this is, sanitary?" I asked, eyeing the water.

"You're asking me if the magical healing water is safe to drink?"

"Point taken." I murmured. "Well, bottoms up." I took the cup and poured it into my mouth. I closed my eyes as the water went down my throat. Almost instantly I could feel the pain disappearing. Not just from the poison, but from all the other pain I've felt over the years. The scars on my back from climbing out the broken window in the foster home. The scraps and scratches from climbing out of my bedroom window. Even the emotional pain seemed to melt away. I unwrapped my bandages and watched as the hole in my hand disappeared and my veins turned back to their normal color.

I looked at Peter and smiled. Before I could stop myself I ran forward and hugged him, resting my head on his shoulder. "Thank you."

His shoulder tensed, like he wasn't used to being hugged. But soon enough, he hugged me back.

When he pulled away he smirked, "No, thank you. Olivia-Grace. You just made this a whole lot easier.

I stepped back, confused. "W-What do you mean?"

He laughed. I heared a rustles in the bushed nearby.

"COME ON BOYS!"

I watched, terrified as the lost boys came out and surrounded me.

I stood there in shock as Peter pointed at me. "Get her."

It was then that I saw what was truly in his heart. Pure evil.
