Trevor's Pov

The prophecy itself couldn't have been more confusing, and that wasn't even the worst of it. First we had to figure out who it was about, if it was about multiple people, or an object. The thing with prophecy's is that there is no way to tell when it might happen or how or why. It could be a disastrous event or a peaceful one. The Elders and I immediately started working on trying to figure it out. We spent a good three hours going through each verse and coming up with absolutely nothing in the end.

When everyone was starting to get aggravated we decided to take a break, and that's when I started being questioned.

"So, Alpha Trevor, do you have any idea who your going to mate yet?" John asks me like it's a normal conversation.

"Actually, I have found my mate." I say back just as normally.

"What? And you didn't think to inform us of this information?" He demands outraged.

"Well, it's complicated. She didn't accept me." I reply back darkly. The thought of Skyler makes my heart ache, my wolf was demanding me to go find her and put some sense into her but, I knew I couldn't do that because she needed time to get use to the idea.

"Then what are you doing here? Go find her and make her accept you." John says dismissing me. There's one thing you never do and that's argue with the council leader. So with a quick bow to them, I walked out of the pack house, I realized it had started raining. I quickly shifted into my wolf and headed home.

As I return to my house I see someone huddled by my door shivering. As I get closer I start to smell Skyler's amazing scent. My heart clenches at the site of her. She's soaking to the bone, she's shivering violently, her hair is soaked to her face, her clothes cling to her like second skin. She raises her head up to me and then I notice her lips are blue from the cold. She parts her lips to speak but the only thing that comes out is the sound of teeth clashing together from shivering so hard.

I quickly wrap my arms around her and unlock the front door and head inside. The house is nice and warm. I head to my bedroom and put her under my blankets to help warm her up faster.

"I-I'm g-g-going t-o g-get y-y-your b-ed w-w-et. " Skyler stutters. Even as she says that, she snuggles closer into the bed seeking warmth.

"Don't worry about it," I reply trying to ease her worries," just worry about getting warm."

Skyler just stares at me. Her shivering starts to slowly calm down and her lips start turning back to their original color.

"Where were you?"

Skyler's sudden question catches me off guard. Her eyes switch from gold back to brown, meaning her wolf was interested too.

"I had a meeting with the Wolf Council." Is my clipped reply. I can't tell her too much because it would put the Council in danger. If  she were to become Luna she would get to meet them. Hell she would even be told the prophecy. As Luna she would be treated as my equal. She would get to know the things that I know.

"What's the Wolf Council?" Skyler drops her head as she asks this. As if she's afraid to ask. I mean who wouldn't be? The clipped reply I gave about it clearly doesn't leave any room for us to discuss it, but the question catches me off guard again. How could she not know about the Wolf Council? I stare at her with shock clearly written all over my face.

*~Skyler's POV*~

The shock written all over his face is clearly supposed to be taken as a sign of bad news. I knew I shouldn't have asked but Shay was begging me to. I tried to explain to her that he clearly didn't want to talk about it. That we shouldn't talk about it. But she just wouldn't let it go. I quickly try to stop this from going in the wrong direction.
