"Rhea." My name came off his tongue in a whisper- a prayer.

He seemed to be collecting himself, while I was falling apart at the seams. I shook my head frantically- as I backed up from Lincoln. From both of them.

"No- why...what are you up to?" I asked Lincoln, my voice defeated as I gazed up at him my eyes glossy.

"Come with us." Lincoln spoke gruffly. My eyes shut at the wish. "You can help start peace Rhea, you do not want this war." He explained, slowly coming towards me his warm eyes trying to coax me.

These words held too much promise. They held too much meaning. I would never leave my sister willingly. I couldn't. I belong with my clan, with the grounders. With Omar. With Nioas. I will stand with them even if i don't agree with their ways. They are my family.

"No." I whispered, backing up further, reopening my dark eyes with red rims. "I will not leave Anya."

Bellamy's gaze dropped to the ground, pinching his bottom lip between his thumb and forefinger. Shaking my head I quickly looked away from the beautiful man.

Taking a pause I took a deep breath- "If you want leverage against my sister, by having me... it won't work. I'm not worth or valuable enough for a treaty." I sighed, biting down hard onto my bottom lip to keep my tears at bay.

Lincoln huffed before taking a small step towards me, grasping my clenched hands in his he started deeply into my eyes. He knew what I was thinking. He knew how hard I was on myself, never confident. Breaking our heated stare I looked to the ground. My lip began to quiver as my body began to tremble. They were asking too much of me. Lincoln knew I couldn't let down my sister. Not like that, that was way too far. The worst betrayal possible. I dozed out as Lincoln clasped my cold hands into his excepting familiar embrace.

Out of the comer of my eye I saw Bellamy tense slightly- his gaze locked on our meshed hands. Seeing the intensity in his eyes I quickly looked back to Lincoln.

"I would never use you Rheanna. You know that." He said seriously, using my full name. His eyes searched mine, deeply as if peering into my soul. I shook off the feeling quickly getting sick to my stomach.

I knew he spoke the truth. Nodding once I pulled my hands from his, before taking another step back. I couldn't let myself fall into his words. I knew Lincoln would never harm me and would always look out for me but something felt different. The dark male looked slightly offended at my rejection but quickly shook it off. Bellamy relaxed as I stepped back from Lincoln- my heart flipped. Taking a deep breath,

"I trust you- but I can't trust them. Not anymore." My voice dropped lowly as I moved my gaze reluctantly to Bellamy.
