Jen's P.O.V
As the sunlight began to creep in through the vaguely open curtains Jennifer rolled over, sending a shooting pain throughout her body. She winced. When she bought away her hand from her blonde curls it was covered it sweat. Then the headache began. Jen never normally got ill, but when she did it was the worst. Today was certainly going to be a duvet day.
Her phone vibrated. It was a few too many inches away for her to easily reach. But she could see Colin's name upon the screen. Then she remembered. They were filming on location today.
After many failed attempts she finally grasped her phone. Her whole body ached, and she could barely move but she managed to lift the phone to her ear as she dialled Colin's number.
He picked up after 2 rings. "Hello Jennifer." His familiar Irish accent chuckled. Jen managed to smile to herself. He was such a dork.
"I can't film today." She responded in a feeble voice. Colin began to sound worried, asking her why. "I'm just too ill." She croaked. Colin didn't respond. Jen let her phone fall onto the bed and realised he had hung up.
As it sat there she stared at it sadly. He clearly didn't care about her.
With great effort she pulled herself out of bed. She began to feel dizzy but ignored it. Jen took small steps out of her bedroom and onto the landing. Once she made it out there was a rapid knock at her door.
"Jen, please let me in." She knew that voice a mile off. Colin had come to see her. Without thinking she quickened her pace to get down the stairs.
Just as she was about to reach the last few steps a terrible shooting pain consumed her body. A scream escaped Jen's mouth as she toppled over, and was soon in a heap at the bottom of the stairs.
Colin's P.O.V
Jen's scream pierced the silence. Colin's heart beat increased rapidly as he pulled open her front door.
Her weak body was crumbled at the bottom of the stairs. She must have fallen. His heart sank.
"What happened Jennifer?" He asked in a concerned tone. Her emerald eyes slowly filled with tears.
"I tried to come answer the door." Her voice shook. She was as pale as a ghost, but she still looked like an angel.
Colin pulled her weak body into his strong arms. "That was silly of you." He said in a light tone. "I'm going to take care of you today. You won't have to move again." As he said those words Jen snuggled into his chest.
He rose slowly and then scooped Jen into his arms. She leant her head against his shoulders and let her arms wrap themselves around his neck. Colin carried her towards the couch.
Jen's P.O.V
Colin lowered Jen onto the couch. Her body melted into the leather.
His head was close to Jen's. She could feel his steady breaths against her cold skin, they sent a warmth trickling down her smile. Her eyes fell on his soft pink lips. Jen wanted to press her lips upon his more than anything. But then he would probably leave.
Jen went to turn her head away but Colin's lips came crashing against hers. At first, Jen froze. But then she realised what was happening and she kissed him back as if her life depended on it. He deepened the kiss. Jen's feeble fingers caressed his hair and he rested his body next to hers. Colin's hands wrapped around her body; pulling Jen closer.
She broke away as pain shot up her back.
Colin jumped up. "Shall I get you some pain killers." He asked in a panic. Jen nodded. She watched him rush off to get her them and couldn't help but smile.
The taste of his lips lingered on hers. She bought a hand up to touch them.
Moments later, Colin returned. "What's that smile for?" He asked with a smile as he passed Jen the painkillers and a glass of water. Before she answered she took the tablets and guzzled the water.
"Because of you." Jen said finally. Now that she had said it, there was no taking it back. A flood of relief filled her. "I think I like you." She added. Colin raised an eyebrow. "Well I would hope that you do like me, we're meant to be friends aren't we." Colin joked. Jen rolled her eyes at him. "You're such an idiot." She moaned.
Colin pushed a few strands of hair out her face. "I'm only a idiot for you." He said softly. "Now how about I make you some soup to warm you up." With that, he stood up and started preparing it.
Colin's P.O.V
After Colin had made Jen and himself some soup and had made sure Jen ate all of hers he picked up the controller. "So what do you want to watch, and are you feeling any better?" He asked Jen, who was now snuggled against his chest. She had three blankets wrapped around her body to keep her warm. "You choose. And I'm feeling much better. Thank you." She smiled up at him. Colin flicked through Netflix and clicked onto once upon a time.
"Seriously." Jen laughed. Colin pushed his bottom lip out at her. She pressed her lips against his, but then pulled away quickly. "Oh." Colin said. "I was enjoying that." Jen bit her lip, deciding wether or not to kiss him again. Before she could make up her mind Colin threw the remote aside and cupped Jen's face in his hands.
He passionately kissed her lips. Jen shifted herself onto his lap and deepened the kiss. Colin moved his hands down her body and wrapped them around her waist. He moved his lips away from hers and started kissing her neck slowly. Jen let out a groan as he did this.
Colin pushed aside the blankets and led Jen down on her back. He looked down at her. "You are so beautiful, even when you're ill." He sighed. Jen let out a giggle.
Her face grew serious as she placed her arms around Colin's neck and pulled his head closer to hers. She crashed her lips against his.
They rolled over, still kissing, so Colin was now underneath.
Colin broke away from the kiss, "I'm in love with you Jen." He said. Jen snuggled into him. Colin held her tight and kissed her head. "I love you, Colin." She admitted.
They stayed in each other's arms for the rest of the day.
