The bright sunlight hit her soft cheeks as she slowly made her way towards the set. Today she was there earlier than usual because Adam and Eddie had someone to introduce her to. She was really nervous as to who it could possibly be. One thought that had sprung to mind was a possible new love interest for Emma.

When she got closer her heart almost jumper out her chest. For right there, standing before her was the most beautiful man she had ever seen. "Jennifer, finally. This is Colin. He's your new co-worker." Adam said with a huge grin on his face. "Colin O'Donoghue." The dark haired, blue eyed man added as he lifted a hand towards Jen and she took it in a heartbeat and shook it. Everything about this man was astonishing. The way he smiled, the way his hair sat. She couldn't stop staring at him. "I'm Jennifer Morrison." She smiled widely at her new co-worker. He nodded at her reply. "I know who you are." This caused a tingly feeling to shoot down Jen's body as she chuckled slightly. From that moment on she knew they could never just be friends.

Jen looked into Colin's bright blue eyes for the hundredth time. "Jennifer." He repeated himself again. She shook herself back into reality. "It's time to go. To the party." He said in that sexy Irish accent of his. Jen nodded. "Coming." Her small voice called after him. Recently, every time she saw him all the feelings she had sworn she would forget kept creeping back. There was nothing she could do about it. She was falling for him. Hard.

She knew from the start they could never just be "friends." With them both it was always something more. But they had never acted on it. And right now, wasn't a good time to do that. Even though her feelings were stronger than ever. Colin had recently gotten a divorce and had only just started to get his life back on track again, Jen knew she couldn't ruin that. She couldn't bring herself to admit her feelings to him. It would change everything.

Colin pulled the car to a stop outside the O'Dallas house. He looked over at Jen whose focus was straight ahead of her. A sudden urge to kiss her came over him. But he resisted. Instead he took a deep breath and muttered "we should... talk later." Without another word he opened the car door and made his way inside. Leaving Jen sat there for a few seconds on her own before she followed him inside.

The party was already alive with people dancing all over the place. When Jen got inside she'd lost sight of Colin. A tight knot in her stomach suddenly formed. She feared that something was wrong between them. But she wasn't sure what that was. Instead of standing there dwelling on the conversation that would take place later she swiftly made her way over to where Rose and Ginny were sat. They both looked up at the same moment and smiled. Jen flashed them a smile back and then perched herself beside them. For a while she sat there, not saying a word until Rose said "Jen, is everything okay? You seem distant tonight." Jen turned to face her best friend and forced herself to hold the tears in. "I'm fine. Just need the toilet." She mumbled before trailing off upstairs. Rose quickly rushed after her.

Jen just about made it to the bathroom before letting the tears roll down her face. Rose was in the bathroom seconds after. Jen looked at her and started crying more. Rose wrapped her arms around Jen and they both sunk to the floor. She buried her head into Rose's chest and let the tears roll down gradually. When she pulled away she noticed in the mirror her red, puffy eyes and cursed herself. Rose pushed the few loose hair strands out of Jen's face and asked her what was wrong.

Jen took a deep breath and told Rose everything. She told her about how since the moment her and Colin met 3 years ago she had been crazily in love with him and recently those feelings had come to surface again. She told her about the way he made her feel. And finally she told her about Colin's comment before they came in and how she was worried about what the conversation may include. Rose just threw her arms around Jen and whispered "it's going to be okay Jen. You just need to get your feelings out into the open and all of this will be okay. Trust me." Jen nodded slowly as she pulled herself from Rose's grip. "You're right. Let's go, enjoy the party. I can deal with all this later." She smiled.
