i cry into alex's arms. he keeps shushing me and telling me it's going to be okay. this is why i love him.
i look up into his eyes and notice he has tears running down his face also.
"hey, you okay?" i ask him.
"i hate seeing you like this." alex replies
he takes my wrist and pulls up my sleeve to reveal the freshly made cuts. he whimpers slightly.
"caleb, why?" he asks
"don't play dumb. you know why." i retort
"you need help" he states
"yeah, and who do you thinks gonna give it to me? my mum. ha!" i say
alex pulls my sleeve back down and starts to push me off his lap so he can stand up. once standing, he extends his hand and helps me to my feet.
"come on" he says and starts walking back to the car. "give me your keys."
"why?" i ask
"where going somewhere." he replies
"okay" i say and pull my keys from my coat pocket and give them to him.
i climb in the passenger seat and alex starts the car. he drives to the highway and we head down it for about a while.
soon alex gets off at an exit. he then pulls into the parking lot of Marco Wallis Counseling for Men.
"alex what the hell are we doing here?"
"you'll see, caleb, you'll see." he says
