Chapter One

"Mommy! Mommy look! This is Leo! He's my friend and he's going to make mud castles with me!"

The mother looked at the child and saw that another child was behind him.

She smiled and stepped closer

"Did you ask him if it was ok for him to make mud castles, Nico?"

The child looked at the other and asked "You wanna make castles of mud?"

The other child looked at him and then looked down "My mommy wouldn't like it if I got dirty." He said

"Well if that's the case then why don't you guys make cookies instead of mud castles?" The mother said

"Yayyyyy cookies!!" Said the boy with dark straight hair

The boy with brown curly hair stood still. He stood in his place until the mother called him

"Come over here. Friends shouldn't leave friends alone" she said

The boy shyly went over there and stood next to the other boy

"Nico how and when did you meet your new friend." Said the mother preparing the cookies

Nico pulled the boy close and hugged him tight "His name is Leo mommy and I just met him."

"You just met him?" Asked the mother

"Yes and now he's my friend. My bestest friend!" Nico said hugging Leo tighter

"Well..... If you insist" said the mother

"We're going to be best friends forever. Right?"

"Well duh"

"Good cuz you're my best friend and I love you"
