It was a bit chilly once I got out from the plane. Ok, it was very chilly and it was only September. My teeth were chattering and I could barely make out the buildings. I had to find my school transport to take me to the stupid school. It was raining cats and dogs and my hair was already dripping wet as I made my way to the big red bus. "Way to make first impressions Gaby", I muttered to myself. Curse the London weather.

Students filled the red bus, all the same age as me or a year older. Students of all shapes and sizes. However all wore expensive clothing probably from Liberty's or Selfridges. Gosh, I hate snobbish people and by the looks of it they all seem snobbish. I made my way to the back of the bus to avoid the girly gossip. I sat next to a girl that unlike all the others didn't seem to wear such expensive clothing and like me was wearing a hoodie and jeans minus the wet hair. She was engrossed in a book which looked to me as a romantic book given that the cover of the book pictures two lovers engrossed in a kiss. She was a delicate pint-sized girl with huge black glases. Her eyes met mine as soon as she looked up from her book. She nooded shyly and muttered a barely audible "hi".

' Hey, please to meet you, I'm Gabrielle, but you can call me Gaby", I chirped.

' I'm Leonie Mignionette, please excuse my english it's not very good", she said in a heavy French accent.

" Oh that's ok, where are you from?" I replied.

" I am from Paris" she said proudly.

" Wow really? I always wanted to go there, it's so romantic", I said dreamily at the thought of going to Paris and meeting some french hot guy.

The converstion continued smoothly and I knew instantly that I made a new friend. We exchanged contacts as she told me about her earning a scholarship to this school and her choice of opting to go to an English school so as to excel in her english in order to get a higher salary once she grows up.

We soon arrived at the boarding school and soon enough I made way to the entrance of the school trying my best to erase all emotionally overwhelming fears.
