Deathly kissed: A ghostly romance

Business to take care of

Just found out in the school's year book that the ghost's name is Meredith and she was basically the queen bee of the school until one eventful week where the school's golden boy, Sam, broke up with her a week before the school prom last year. Meredith did not take it so good and you all know what happened next, she killed herself. Meredith although she was deceased was still up for revenge. And what better revenge than killing the girl who took away her boyfriend. So that explains why she's a ghost now and why she did her earlier attack.

It is said that when we die we see a light. Although some say that this light is actually brought about by a shortage of the brain, others say that the light is your final destination and thus one should follow it or else they end up as ghosts. When people shouldn't have meant to die or have some unfullfilled needs that weren't met before their death they fail to follow the light and therefore become ghosts. This is so that they come to people like me who help them out so that they can arrive to their final destination.

I know that Meredith is going to be a tough one to help out and I have to watch out but that doesn't stop me from helping her. As I was preparing my ghost busting tools after lights out who do you think showed up?

"Where do you think your going?" implied Edward..

"None of your business" I rudely replied back. I didn't want to sound rude but what does he think he is telling me where to go.

"I know your going to help that Meredith girl out and let me tell you sweetheart, it's not safe"

"I know what I am doing Edward, this is not my first time, you should know by now that this is my job and your not stopping me from it and that's final."

"I know but just be careful ok, she's not what you think she is, believe me I know" replied Edward concerned.

Him being all concerned for me was very heart warming but I know I should not show it so I grabbed my things and left.

My hands were all sweaty and trembling, I get this everytime I go ghost busting, it scares the living daylights out of me but I have to do it so I make my way down the school corridor and and turn to the left to open the door to the central court yard. I know that she'll be here because this is her hang out spot.

I saw her sitting on the bench next to the fountain her legs brought up to her chest and her face buried in her hands. She looked vulnerable on the outside but on the inside I know she is the opposite.

As she saw me she was taken aback by my apperance, she was not expecting to see me and I know for a fact that if she had known she would have done something to me for sure much worse than what she's planning to do as she made her way towards me.

"What are you doing here?" she screamed.

She knows I could see her and what I am planning to do to her.

" Nothing, just helping you out", I replied.

"I don't need your help" she screamed, " I don't need you or anyone else. leave now" she screeched.

As I made my way towards her I lit up a small candle and from my bag I got out the picture of her from the school year book and placed it in the same hand I was holding the candle.

Knowing what I was doing she advanced towards me with a piece of stone from the sculpture she had earlier destroyed, the sharp point pointing and me and she lunged towards me.

At that same time Edward decided to materialize and stood behind Meredith grabbing her from behind her waist. She was screaming and kicking and I took the opportunity to place the candle and the picture on the ground and draw a circle on the ground.

I couldn't be more grateful that Edward showed up because I know I couldn't have handled her all by myself.

All of a sudden the circle opened up and a kind of fog was sourrounding it. I took a screeching Meredith from Edward and placed her in the middle of the fog, advicing Edward to back off.

As Meredith was taken up by the circle of fog I noticed Edward was smiling.

"What are you smiling about?" I asked him unbelievably.

"You care about me don't you Gaby?" he asked me looking amused.

" No I don't, although you helped me today, which I am thankful for, your still a pain in the butt that hangs around in my room and what makes you think I care about you anyway?"

" You do because while excorcing Meredith you were afraid that I will be excorcised too, so you told me to back off. So your feelings about me changed sweetheart because when we first met you wanted me gone just like Meredith," he said smiling and looking amused
