What a lovely thought

Re-cap
Gaby travelled from New York to London to attend a prestigious boarding school.
She is a mediator (able to see ghosts) but nobody knows of course except Edward.
In her dorm room she finds Edward, a 160 year old handsome ghost.
Edward seems to be a very caring guy and Gaby is warming up to him.
Gaby came to the realization that her friend and the school cook are actually both mediators like herself.

Continued ...

After Edward told me that the cook is a Mediator like me I was already feeling a bit better. It is nice to know that your are not alone and maybe exchange a few tips with them.

The cook was actually a nice guy. Maybe in his late thirties or early forties. He was already going bald and was actually quite fat, not sure how ghost busting is turning out for him due to that. Anyway, his was a jolly man, very cheerful and apparently good friends with Edward.

Later that night after playing chess with the boarders, I went back to my room. Guess who was following me?

No, not a beastly ghost, but rather a handsome one, Edward.

Gosh! I just admitted that Edward is handsome. Good thing he is not a vampire because sure as hell he would hear my thoughts. That would be embarrassing and something that I will never hear the end of. But then, maybe Edward is not as conceited as guys usually are. He doesn't seem that way. Although... He was quite cocky when I told him to leave. Then again, I was basically telling him to leave his 160 year old home.

That reminds me I really want to look into Edward's past. Better write that in my diary. Wait! My diary is not with me. I left it in the dorm room.

Now, looking back at Edward who was still following me, I realise that he is looking at me with a confused and worried expression on his handsome face.

'Oh Gaby! Shush with the handsome', my inner me said.

' Sweet heart, is there something wrong?', Edward said very concerned.

'Of course not Edward. I 'm just really tired. It's been a really tough day today, that's all. Nothing to worry about'

As soon as the words left my mouth, Edward vanished into thin air.
Rude much, I thought. Ghosts are so cranky. Worse than a girl on her period might I say.

As soon as I arrived at my dorm room I took out the key but found that the door was already opened.
One word: I panicked.
I am quite good with busting ghosts but have no experience what so ever with living people or thieves.

As I pushed the door open, bracing myself to what's behind the door, I saw Edward calmly lounging on my bed reading a new book about animals. My heart rate slowed down but was still beating ferociously against my chest.

Good to know there weren't any thieves trying to break in and steal my secret candy stash. Speaking of which, I have to check because last time I had a twix bar missing.

I looked back to Edward and gave him my best glare, ' why did you leave the door open?'

'I'm here sweet heart, nobody will come in and after all, you were coming so I decided to leave it open for you. Why? is there a problem?'

'No. No problem Edward. Now can you go sit somewhere else? I am very tired and really need my bed right now.'

'Before going to bed, I prepared a hot bath for you. Figured that you might need one to relax and sleep better. Go now, before it gets cold'.

Can this ghost get any sweeter? I though that he was rude when he left back there but he was actually preparing a bath for me. Isn't that sweet?

'Oh thank you Edward. Thanks for being so thoughtful. I really do need a hot bath. You're a life saver.'

'Glad you appreciate it! yes I have been told I am a life saver, quite often in my past life.'

And there goes the cockiness.

After the bath I immediately felt relaxed. Very grateful for Edward at that moment. Not only did he prepare a hot bath but also lit candles for me. Not to mention the hot chocolate that was sitting on the edge of the bath with the marshmallows melting on top. It tasted divine too.

The bathroom had a lavender smell which helped to calm my thoughts. Edward thought of everything when preparing my bath and I was extremely grateful.

After my bath I found him still reading the book on my bed. He was so delved in the book that he didn't hear me coming. But as soon as the bed dipped under my weight, Edward looked up.

'Enjoyed your bath sweet heart?'

I am sure that if Edward was actually a person with a beating heart he would definitely be popular amongst the ladies. His sweet talk, gestures and manners would surely win him a lucky and lovely lady.

'Yes thanks Edward. It was thoughtful of you. As I said I am extremely tired today, so ... good night Edward.'

'Good night, sweet heart'
