Oliver stood in front of the body mirror staring at himself, the room was dark though he could see himself just fine in the false light of the lamp. Squinting slightly at himself Oliver pulled at the tight neck of the dress shirt.

"Stop fucking with it." Jasper's sharp voice made Oliver's hand stop its movement, "Why do I have to wear this? Cameron is the bartender, I'm just suppose to be playing the piano." Oliver's eyes flicked down when the shorter vampire appeared in front of him and fixed the loosened neck of the suit, a cigarette hung down from between his lips.

His mohawk was slicked back and he wore an old fashioned suit, much like Oliver's, that hid all of his tattoos. "It's the theme for the bar tonight, you're lucky I still have a few of Cezar's suits with me." Wrinkling his nose Oliver reached up to pull at the neck again feeling Jasper's hand slap it away, a soft chuckle leaving the Vampire's throat. "Yeah, Cezar never liked wearing them either... We'll have to get it tailored a bit, your arms are longer. Come on, we open in 5 minutes."

Jasper watched his mate sigh, the white fabric of the suit hugged just about every part of him. He'd be lying if he said he didn't like the way the wolf looked in 1920 attire. Partially because it made him look even more like his grandfather, and partially because the classic look turned him on. Something about the crisp and clean suit made Oliver look untouched and it made Jasper want to rip it off him, and touch him.

"I've never played professionally. Why did Cameron ask me to do it? Don't you normally play for him?" Pulling the cigarette from his mouth Jasper fixed the cuffs of his own suit, "Tonight's theme draws in more people than usual. The vampires flood here on nights like this because it takes them back to a time they actually lived through. It's nostalgic. I'll be waiting on the seated tables along with the females from your pack, the males will be security, and Cam is working the bar. Stop complaining, you'll do fine."

With another sigh Oliver followed Jasper down the stairs, pausing at the bottom to see his pack rushing around to finish setting the tables and chairs. The décor was straight from the 1920s and made the bar look more like a restaurant. Maroon colored table cloths, lit candles in small crystal glass bowls, a single white rose on each table. For a week now Oliver and his pack have been half living with Cameron and Jasper. The wolf wasn't quite sure how it happened but they ended getting jobs at that bar, paid and everything. Although, Oliver never thought the human man would be having him play the piano in the bar. Nervous was an understatement, Oliver was unsure about his position in a room that will be full of vampires.

"Is this what is looked like back then?" The curiosity in the wolf's voice made Jasper smile softly, "Yes. At least, the more expensive diners. If one were to go to a cheaper bar at the time it looked much different." Grunting at the lightly spoken words Oliver's eyes trailed to Heather as she stopped in front of him and gave him a once over, "Oooh. Alpha looks niiiice in formal wear. You should dress like that more often! Sexy!"

Gerard stepped up to wrap his arm around Heather, kissing her cheek, "You look nice in formal wear too sweetheart. Stop hitting on our Alpha it rubs my fur wrong." Oliver snorted at Gerard's matter-of-fact tone, "You don't have to feel that way Gerard. I'm taken."

Jasper glanced at Gerard as the man looked at him, "I thought I sniffed a mark on you. Alpha are you sure about that? What if you find your mate?" A soft look crossed Oliver's expression as he leaned down to kiss Jasper's cheek, "She's not going to leave her husband and kids for a dog Gerard. Best to leave it be."

Realization flashed on the older wolf's eyes, "So that's it." Gerard had been curious about Oliver's mate, or lack-thereof. Gerard had known Oliver the longest between the members of the pack, they were close friends and the Beta didn't miss much about his Alpha. However, Oliver's mate had been a complete mystery to all of them. None of them knew if he had one, if he had gotten rejected, or if he simply never found them. Gerard never would have guessed that Oliver had walked away from her to keep her happy. The conversation was cut short when Cameron's voice signaled the flow of customers to come in.
