Chapter 4.

•{1 Week Later}•

{Abigail's POV}
It's been weird ever since Max & I kissed. It's like we still talk and all. But it's just. Different. We don't have a long, funny conversations. It's just short, awkward ones. I want to go apologize to him, for over reacting about everything. But whenever I try to, it's like something is holding me back. Like I should wait.

{Max's POV}
Abi & I were walking out of the building, waiting for Tim Tim & Ross to come. I could see the sadness in Abi's eyes. I made her like this. She usually was always happy. And now she hasn't been. And it's all my fault. And I need to do something about it.
"Abi, please, can we talk?" I asked, looking at her even though she didn't look back.
"What is it Max?" She asked, and turning slightly towards me.
"Look Abi, I'm sorry. I really am. And when we kissed, it really meant something to me. We've been best friends for all our lives, & I know that there was something more. And I knew I couldn't just tell you, so I just kept it in. Why do you think I never really dated anyone? You're the most amazing person I've ever met, and I know I don't deserve someone like you. I mean, everyone likes you. You're always such a happy person. And you never let anyone down. Abi, you're such an incredible person. Please don't ever forget that" I said, and I saw the sadness go away in her eyes.
"Max, I've loved you since the first time we were together. And you're the only one that's actually liked me, not just because people think I'm pretty, or popular, or smart. You like me just the way I am. And Max, you'll always be special to me. And I don't know why it's taken so long for me to tell you this" She said, & walked up to me & kissed my check. We hugged for a little bit until we heard the guys coming down & quickly backed away from each other.
"Hey guys, ready to go home?" Tim Tim asked.
"Yee, I'm starving! Let's go eat some left over pizza and watch Netflix!" Abi said, cheerfully. I smiled because I love her cheerfulness. "Then let's go!" Ross said, & we ran to Tim Tim's car and went home.
Yep, I think everything is back to normal.

~Time Skip to the Next Day~

{Abi's POV}
I woke up to Max throwing a pillow at me & laughing. "Wow, thanks for that bud" I said sarcastically. "Just looking out for ya" He said, smiled, then closed the door. Just seeing him smile made me so happy. I grabbed my phone & walked out into the kitchen to see Max. "Where's Tim Tim & Ross?" I asked, looking around the room. "Adam came to pick them up because they were gonna do something. I told them I didn't want to go because you weren't awake and I didn't want to wake you." He said, pouring some milk into two glasses. "Oh, cool" I said, awkwardly. I've always been very socially awkward but no one really can tell. He went to sit on the couch so I went to sit next to him. He turned on Gravity Falls and we watched that for a bit.
"So after what happened last night. Are a 'thing' or what?" I asked out of the middle of no where. He looked at me & furrowed his eyebrows. "I mean, we could be. Do you, want to I guess?" He asked, & I could see him blushing. "I mean, would it ruin our friendship if something happened?" I asked. "Nothing could ruin our friendship Abi. So do you maybe.. Uh.. Want to.." He stuttered, but before he could finish, I kissed his cheek. "Yes, I would love to Max" I said. We just stared into each other's eyes for a little bit. After a few seconds, he closed up the space between us and I felt a pair of lips touch mine. I quickly kissed back. This had already happened before, but made me have all these butterflies in my stomach and it made my heart beat 10 times faster than usual. We both let go at the same time and we spent the rest of the day watching cartoons together.

A/N- Wow, it's been a while. And I'm sooooo sorry. I've had MASSIVE writer's block and I legit couldn't think of anything >.< So sorry this chapter isn't the best! Also, I'll try to update more if I can, so be on the look out for a new chapter soon (Hopefully lol)! c:
