"All rise." The guard says, and everyone in the courtroom stands up. "The Honorable Judge Preston presiding."

The judge, an old, fat guy with turtle shell glasses and a bald spot on the right side of his head comes from the back.

"Court is now in session." The judge says, and everyone is sitting down. There's certain media personnel here, gathering information for the 5 o'clock news. The rest of the paparazzi are feverishly waiting for us to come outside.

"Alright. What do we have here today." Judge Preston skims the papers in front of him and looks to the front of him. "The States of Florida and Georgia vs. Rosalinda De La Fuente. It says here you have been charged with embezzling millions of dollars from the venues from a concert tour you did about four years ago. But from what you and your lawyers are saying that is completely false." He looks to Bradley. "Is that correct?"

"Yes your honor that is correct."

"State your name." The judge says.

"Bradley Douglas. I am Miss De La Fuentes attorney."

"You may be seated. Alright so here's what we're going to do. I want Miss De La Fuente up on the stand for questioning, then we're going to bring witnesses to the stand also. Understood ?"

Bradley and everyone on the bench nods, and Bradley looks at me.

"You got this." He mouthed to me. I turn around and see my mother and father sitting behind me. They give me air kisses as I stand up and walk towards the guard.

"Place your left hand on the book, and raise your right hand up." The guard orders, and I do what I was told.

"Do you solemnly swear that you will tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?"

"I swear."

"Take a seat up here." I carefully scoot myself into the seat and I was in front of an audience. This audience was different. I could tell they were judgmental, and petty. For once I was actually nervous to be in front of people, and it showed.

I try to look around for some type of comfort and fall short. I had my parents here but I needed Michael with me. He wasn't allowed to come in the courtroom with me today because they thought he would be a risk to everyone in here. Unfortunately he had to stay in a conference room and listen to the trial on the radio.

"Miss De La Fuente. I am Montgomery Williams, I am the State Attorney of Florida and I will be questioning you about the Miami concerts and deals that have happened." A tall, thin black man says. I don't say anything and he goes on.

"Miss De La Fuente, on May 24th, 1985, you were performing a concert in Miami. Am I correct?"

I lean into the microphone. "Yes."

"Mmkay." He walks around the courtroom and hands me a piece of paper. "Do you know what this is?"

I look at the paper over and over again. It didn't look familiar at all. "No sir, I don't."

Williams points at a certain part of the paper. "You sure? Because that's your signature on there."

My eyes follow his finger and I gasp to myself. My signature was on the dotted line.

How the fuck?...

"Miss De La Fuente, it seems to be you have signed a agreement stating that you promised to bring in 9 million dollars worth of revenue that would pay for all the employees and crew that worked on this tour for the three days you were in Miami, plus an extra 2 million for promotional purposes and merchandise that would be sold at the arena. And that's not including the amount of money to be paid to the arena for renting the place. But it seems to be that only $5 million dollars were paid for only the rent of the arena, and the merchandise. Only about $300,000 dollars were used for paying the employees and crew, and the rest? Well it seemed to have disappeared." He looks me straight in the eye.
