Old Friends

Katherine looked at the address and realized she was very familiar with the area Arkham city she road through this part of the city and noticed how rundown everything was this was the bad part of Gotham anyone who considered going through this place would either be running away or looking to die. She was remembering back on the day when all she did was spend time down here with Harley and Joker that was the good ole times, patrolling watching out for people who lived here she brought fear to those who deserved it but she never locked them away which gained her respect from others. She caught something at the corner of her eye and came to a stop it was an old abandoned building with a banner across it saying CLOSED, she pulled her bike around the side and hide it behind a couple crates she gave thought as to whether she should go through the front or the side so instead she went through the top she retracted her bow and set and arrow she aimed for the side of the building and released it. She scaled the side of the building and reached the top she ran across and found a sunlight and opened it she reached down and swung around the bar and landed quietly on her feet, she stood up and walked towards a door which obviously led to a hall full of doors she didn't want to waist her time trying to play find the Jack in the box( no pun on Jack lol) so she just headed downstairs.

Artemis: Of all places he had to pick this one.

I had been here before this is where we would have so called block parties/meetings/gatherings/ ect. whatever the Joker planned would happen, my father brought me here a couple times when I was starting out my college work only cause I had insisted on seeing Joker and Harley I missed them Terribly and they would always be happy to see me. I walked down the stairs and I started hearing commotion I quietly ran over to a door frame that was cracked and saw 6 guys sitting watching Tv while eating, I moved away and heard more noise and it followed to another door where there were more guts sleeping finally I reached a door and it was unlocked so I was careful and I went in looking around and found no one there it was an office set up lights on a desk full of paper work I walked over but payed no attention too she began to wonder and she saw a map of all Gotham on the wall with pins and string that were in all locations of Gotham I couldn't figure out who they were for Batman I suppose but I just rubbed it off, I heard walking coming form the door and I went and hid in the shadow of the window. When the door opened it was Joker he had his jacket in hand and he put his hand through it I dont know but I always liked the way he did that.\

Joker: Look when you see a shadow do me a favor and dont shoot first.

He cared hmmm thats no something I'm as familiar with, he walked over and tossed his jacket on a chair opposite of his desk and walked around to sit as he came by the window I could smell his scent gunpowder, cologne and acid of course. He went to sit down and he was quiet for a minute then he slammed his hands on the desk and I could see the muscles in his arm tense.

Joker: Why didn't she come, Damn her.

Artemis: Well I guess I've kept you waiting long enough.

He shot his head up and turned around and just stared all h saw was shadow, but here I saw a man that I've had nothing but these feelings for and how he was sitting wasn't making me feel any less attracted to him.

Joker: So you've let me waiting this whole time(I walk out form the shadows) you know I waited for you by the door to make sure none of my men shot you and I felt like and idiot.

Artemis:( I giggled) I'm sorry 

I walked out and placed my hands on both arms rests and looked him in the eyes he just stared back with a very mellow and relaxed look, I stood up and smiled walking around tracing my finger aloong the pattern on the chair and then I reached the desk and leaned against it crossing my arms.

Joker: You know I wasn't sure if you would show considering how we ended our last parting, I was sure you were still mad.

I chuckled

Artemis: and here I thought you were mad at me.

He looked at me and then went to stand up and was inches from me I felt the space get tighter and tigher.

Joker: Let me see your eyes.......please.

I did  a short sigh and I went and pulled back my hood and took off my mask, I probably looked like a raccoon but considering the moment I didn't care. I saw a flash go across his eyes and he moved himself to stand in front of me and he put a hand up I closed y eyes and thought he was going to hit me I don't know why he never would never has.

Joker: Don't be afraid of me please, I would never harm you.

He looked into my eyes and I felt his cold skin touch my cheek he had such a deep sincerity, this wasn't the Joker I knew, how was this man in front of me the cold selfish greedy abusive clown. I shook it off and I went to touch his cheek I moved past him and walked back over to the wall.

Artemis: So whats this about? looking for the Batman.

Joker: No not Batman........You.

I stood shocked and I went to turn and he was unbuttoning his shirt.

Artemis: Joker, please dont.

He stopped and looked at me, his eyes were looking me over and I went to go leave I started to lift up the window but he put his hand in the way I could feel him push down but I tried to fight it. I finally gave in and he shut it and locked it, I put my head to the window and he moved behind me he placed his hands on my shoulders and then there was a knock at the door I spun around and I didn't have much time to go out the window we looked around and he shoved me under his desk and I hit my head.

Joker: What the hell do you want.

Goon: Boss we got a problem, a big one.

Joker: This problem better be bigger than what you'll get in the head.

I heard him click his gun and place it on the desk, oh please dont do it.

Goon: B-bbbb-boss it's the Bat's, he's headed towards the warehouse in lower Gotham.

I heard a slam on the table and I yelped, I slapped my hand on my mouth.

Goon: What was that?

Joker: never mind probably a mouse, look take the boys and head there call Johnny and tell him whats going on.

Goon: Yes sir.

I heard shuffling and then the door open and shut, I uncovered my mouth and went to go get up and his face was next to mine I yelped again and hit my head on the desk and fell to the floor holding it.

Joker: You know I figured doing it the first time would've made you think not to do it again.

Artemis: Oh Shut up, if you didn't scare me that wouldn't have happened.

I rolled over to sit up and lean on my arm, he was centimeters from my face and I could smell his breathe I could definitely tell he hadn't brushed today. He moved and placed his hand on my chin and pulled out a handkerchief and wiped the dirt from my face then he picked me up and started to walk over and put his jacket on.

Artemis: Sooooooo, it sounds like you have a rodent problem.

I walked over to him and started buttoning his shirt, he put his hand on top of mine and stopped with 3 buttons still undone.

Joker: It's hot in here dont you think?

Artemis: Yeah, toasty hot.

He leaned in and I started to as well but to tease him I went to lean and fixed his collar on his shirt and jacket, then I kissed his cheek and slide my nose across his cheek with a smile.

Artemis: Well lets go fix your Rodent problem.

I walked past him and got to the door and I turned around and put my hood up and my mask .

Joker: lets go have fun...
