Re-Charge

I lay there most of the day trying to figure out what to do with myself I was ordered to stay in bed until I was healed it had been 4 days already and I was still in pain usually I wouldn't be as bad by now and yet I felt something was wrong, I got out of bed and went into the bathroom I wanted to wash my face and try and look less pale than I already was I turned on hot water and let the steam fill the air I inhaled and shivers went down my spine and I got the hives all down my arm like when you touch electricity the hairs stood up and I splashed water on my face and my arms I couldn't take a bath due to my side so I decided to take a bird bath I reached for my extra shower head that was portable I attached it to the sink and bent my head over I washed my hair and when I was done I carefully wrapped it up but since I had short hair it wasn't exactly staying so I shook my head and my wet hair dangled I walked over the the tub and sat on the edge I began to shave my legs and wash everything else I then put some clean clothes on and I went over the mirror and un-did my bandages and I sat them aside now comes the pain.

Joker: Need a hand.

I turned around quickly and wrapped one arm on my chest and I shook my head he came over and I moved my arm up he slowly took off the gauze and it came off easier than I thought when it was off he looked at me worried.

Katherine: What? Whats wrong? Is it bad?

I turned around and saw the scare was still bleeding and the stitches looked all red from inflammation it looked like he was still new.

Joker: I thought you said you healed quickly.

Katherine: Yeah but depending on the damage done depends on the healing, but this.....

I looked at him worried.

Katherine: You removed the bullet right I mean there wasn't anything left?

Joker: Yes I saw the doctor do it myself he handed the bullet to me and had the boys take it to a guy I know so I could find out who it belonged too.

I turned around and looked at it and I was shaking my head I needed to make a phone call.

Katherine: I need to call a friend he uh.....he helped me when I was hurt.

Joker agreed and I walked over to my phone and I dialed Cisco.

Cisco: Hello.

Katherine: Hey Cisco it's me (I looked at Joker) I have a big problem.

I talked for 20 minutes with Cisco trying to figure out why I wasn't healing right he told me that due to me losing my speed that even being without it I had my healing temporarily due to my cells still working out the old ones due to the white blood cells killing the dead one's.

Joker: So what can we do to help her speed up the process.

Cisco: Who's that?

I put my finger up to Jokers lips and shook my head.

Katherine: My......boyfriend.

Joker smiled and I moved my hand to his cheek.

Cisco: You know there might be one thing that could help you know when.....the battery here at the lab lost it's power due to that shock wave?

He was referring to Barry charging the Particle Accelerator he got the charge to break even which helped him gain more power to run faster.

Katherine: I need a re-charge.

Joker:What??

Cisco: Yes that's what i was getting too, your cells that are dying the regenerative one's need a charge.

I sat there tapping my fingers.

Katherine: How much of a charge do I need to.......not over do it?

Cisco: Well the human body can only take about 10 Ma's but it also depends on what you use that, the 10 comes from a resuscitator but you need the have one big shock so place it at the main area's of your body your brain and your heart send enough amp's and your cells should start to regenerate with seconds.

I thanked Cisco for his help and told him to tell everyone hi, I looked over at Joker and I wobbled past him to my bed and leaned against it, I knew what had to be done and I needed him to do it I bit my lip and cleared my throat.

Katherine: I'm gonna need your help with this and your not gonna like it or maybe you will I don't know.

Joker: What?

Katherine: I need you to...to.......to shock me.

He looked at :me with surprised eyes and we discussed this and I told him that if he wants me better this was the only way otherwise it would take me months to recuperate and that's if my white blood cells haven't killed the remaining good ones, I told him it was my on chance I trusted no one but him.

We drove to the outskirts of town and my father was with us we explained to him what had happened and I told him how I wasn't healing and I talked to Cisco, my father was there the day my life changed when the accident happened.

Mr. Pierce: Katerina I never imagined I would be sitting here hoping I'd never have to you in trouble and yet here we are.

Katherine:What you think I planned this you gave me to the suit.

Mr. Pierce: Yeah which now makes me wonder how the bullet got through.

Joker: Think the maker had other plans.

Katherine: I'd never plan on getting my daughter killed.

I sighed and looked at my father he was talking to Joker and I just faded out and looked out the window I waited and waited for this ride to be over, finally we pulled up to the factory and went inside I looked around and it looked like a supply factory for something I held my side and continued walking we finally came to a part of the room where it was lite with  medical lights and there was a gurney with straps on it I stopped and looked as Joker and my father stopped and looked at me. I looked at them both and smiled and continued to walk I stopped at the end of the table and closed my eyes waiting for my stomach to come back.

Mr. Pierce: I don't think I've ever seen you so nervous.

Katherine: That's cause I'm not to fond to being tied down and being electrocuted.

Joker snickered and I snapped my head and looked at him him with a stern look he stopped and then smiled I looked at my dad and then I saw the machine.

Mr. Pierce: o.k.

I got up on the table and I laid there my father didn't strap me down but across my chest and my legs I sat there breathing and I closed my eyes to prepare myself.

Mr. Pierce: Ready??

I opened my eyes and looked at him.

Katherine: Yeah.

Joker walked over and planted a kiss on my head and sighed he kept his head to mine and then he undid my shirt thank god for the bandage my father handed him some scissors he cut the side of the bandage and placed a defibrillator patch there he then placed one on my heart and then two on my temple, they walked over and turned on the machine I looked at Joker and grabbed his hand I just looked up and counted backwards from 10.

Joker: Here.

He placed a mouth piece in my mouth and then kissed my hand and walked away.

Joker:Is there no other way?

Mr. Pierce: I don't know what else to do and it's not like you have a Particle Accelerator do you.

Joker: What?

Mr. Pierce: I'll tell you a story sometime.

My father yelled to me and I put my thumb up and then as soon as I got to one I felt this surge go through my body I tried to hold till but my nerves and everything else felt like they were moving I opened my eyes and saw currents dance across my body and when I closed them everything was silent.
