Him Again

Morning News

I awoke the next morning and I reached over next to me to find the spot empty I looked and the man next to me was gone I sat up and I walked into the bathroom and I did my business and brushed my teeth as I reached for my electric tooth brush it sparked and I saw the electricity again I went on brushing my teeth and when I was done I put it back and the whole dock sparked and turned off. I walked out the door and I headed for my bedroom door and opened it I saw flower I bent over and It was a white Carnation it smelled wonderful I walked more and saw another and another there was a trail of them by the time I reached the stairs I had a bundle in my hand I saw even more down stairs I put them in my arms and walked down the stairs and had one huge bouquet in my hand.

Joker: Good morning.

I turned and Joker was sitting in the living room with his men.

Katherine: Good morning too you too....oh and everyone else.

Joker: Sweetheart do you mind waiting in the kitchen breakfast is on the table.

Johnny walked over and helped me with the flowers he smiled and took them to the table and laid them down.

Katherine: Of course sorry to interrupt.

They all said "no" or "it's ok" and so on they were nice to me and I went into the other room and there was a place setting for one and a newspaper I had hoped that when he mentioned breakfast I might have someone to join me, I went over to the stove and read a note that said in oven I opened the oven and there was a platter of food enough for two people, maybe he was going to join me I carried it to the table and grabbed a fork and when I walked back over Joker was coming in and he gave me a kiss and took my hand and walked me to the table, he sat in my seat.

Joker: Sit.

Katherine: I was but someone took it.

Joker: Then sit on that someone and have your breakfast.

Katherine: Your eating with me?

Joker: Of course(he reached out his hand) did you think I could eat all this?

I went and sat on his lap and handed him his paper and I took a bite I fed him too and we sat there for the rest of the morning we talked and continued eating he showed me some stuff in the paper and  we chatted about it till he turned the paper around and I saw and article and I stopped him from turning the page.

Joker: What? What is it.

Katherine: M.....m.......me.

Joker: What!

He turned the paper his way and I sat there shocked he laid it on the table and I went to stand and hold my face.

"In news this week it looks like we could have another Vigilante in the city one that we haven't seen in over Five years, Artemis the female archer has been sighted near Arkham city. Police say to stay clear due to being unsure as to why she would return now, citizens of Gotham are wondering if she's a hero or a villain."

Katherine: A hero or a Villain? Seriously your comparing me to.....Dammit!

Joker: Ok that's it right you stop now until everything cools off.

Katherine:Joker!

Joker: No! I won't have people writing these stories and twisting what's really going on.....I won't.

I stood there and crossed my arms and looked out the window I heard some commotion coming from the living room then running I looked and saw a bunch of Jokers Guys come running in.

Men:Boss....we have company..

I look at him and I run to the door and he takes my arm and pulls me back he holds me there and puts a finger to is lips and he signals his men to go check it out they look and they freeze putting there guns down.

Men:Uh boss...it's Wayne.

Katherine: Oh Bruce.

I whispered but I knew Joker heard me I could see from the corner of my eye he was staring at me.

Katherine: All of you hide and stay quiet.

Joker: Why is he here anyway?

Katherine: I don't know but I'm gonna fix the problem, please stay here.

He grabbed my waist band and gripping my shorts not wanting to let go, he didn't like the idea of him being here and neither did I, I kissed his J on his cheek and rubbed my nose to his jaw line and went to the door we heard knocking and I walked to open the door when I heard them make a noise he handed me my robe and I waited till they were out of sight and I locked the sling chain so he couldn't open it all the way, as I cracked it open Bruce was standing there staring at me.

Katherine: Bruce.

Bruce: Katherine.

Katherine: What are you doing here I don't remember calling you.

Bruce: I heard you were in an accident and wanted to make sure you were ok.

Katherine: I'm fine thanks for checking in but if you don't mind I'd like to go back to bed.

Bruce: I didn't mean to wake you I'm sorry.

I stood there shaking my head feeling bad I was lying but not that I was lying to him.

Katherine: Look....it's ok...just....next time call......please.

Bruce: Of course besides I'm sure your trying to keep yourself hidden away from the world...having.......secrets.

Katherine: You would know all about that wouldn't you, I mean you practically wrote the book.

He smirked and let out a snort he went to turn away.

Bruce: Good bye Katherine, I'm glad your ok.

he walked down the stairs and to Alfred whom I saw waiting by the door I closed the door and went to the window and waved he smiled and waved back, I missed Alfred more than that cave sometimes and yet I can't help but feel like taking that step and going back down into it just to see him.

Joker:Is he gone?

Katherine: Yeah....he's gone.

I turned around to go upstairs and I walked past Joker's men and back to my room Joker took my hand in his and I leaned on the railing looking down at him.

Katherine: I can wait....do what you have to do....I'll be in bed.

I winked and look at the rest of the boys and said my goodbye's and I went back to bed I opened the door and walked over to hang up my robe which ended up falling on the ground I was too beat to do anything I couldn't figure out why maybe I was over charged I went and sat on the bed and rubbed my hands together and the friction caused sparks it made me giggle I hadn't been able to do this since Barry and I were struck by the lightning. I pulled my hands apart and there was tiny bolts of lighting from my fingertips and my palm I started to giggle and when I went to push my hair back it shocked me and made my hair static I went into the bathroom and looked at myself making face I finally dampened my hair and went to lay in bed I leaned up against the pillow I adjusted them as if a body was there so I could lean on it I sat my phone aside and I laid back and closed my eyes and drifted away into sleep land.
