I'm Sorry I Hurt You

I stayed up all night waiting wondering if he was going to come back I walked around the house drinking coffee it felt like time was going by so slow when I looked at the clock it read 3:15 a.m a little while later it said 6:05 I walked towards the back and sat down on the veranda I watched the sun rise and the city light up I stood and walked to the railing I was deeply saddened that he wasn't here. I looked at my coffee and decided to poor it out and I walked back inside I put my glass in the dishwasher and I went upstairs I went to my room and changed into some workout clothes.

I walked back downstairs and turned on the TV to a workout channel  I did crunches I did squats and I continued to do this for about an hour I then decided to go for a run, I locked the house and ran down the street I headed for the bridge and jumped over everything I flipped on top of walls and leaped over some cars I then came to a halt I saw a couple walking and I decided to just walk over the a bridge over a creek the couple walked and were holding hands I made a fist and I hit the wall. I ran back home and I passed other couples and I was getting more angry at it I came up to the door and unlocked it I walked in and slammed it shut.

Katherine: DAMN YOU JOKER!!!

I went upstairs and I took a shower I stood there and I felt the warm water run over me all I could think about was Joker, maybe he needed a break I don't know but I wish he had just said so instead of just leaving I turned off the water and I heard some noise I stumbled out and I went to the bedroom.

Katherine: Joker?

I stood there in a towel and I waited for someone to response I looked around and I went to my door and then I heard the noise again I looked behind me and it was window with air blowing it open making it sound like my door. I walked over and I locked it I headed back into the bathroom and I put some clothes on and dried my hair and I decided I'd go into the attic and keep myself busy but before that I got some food. I opened the door to the attic and I walked up the stairs and I looked around and everything was still running I walked over to my chair and spun it around and I sat down turned to the desk and placed my foot on the desk, I flipped through the radio and computer looking for something to do I twiddled with one of my arrows and spun it with my fingers I twirled it and I tapped the desk I tried to get my mind clear and all I can think about was Joker. I walked over to my suit and hit the button to open the cage I then heard a blaring noise over the radio.

"All officers all officers report of a break in to a warehouse in lower Gotham by the pier"

I clicked the button opening my bows and I grabbed my suit and changed I made sure I was covered all over and then I went and chose a bow and grabbed a cylinder of arrows and popped it on my back I ran downstairs and headed to the garage, I uncovered my bike and I attached the bow to the front I opened the door and I road out the back and down the back way I followed it all the way to the bridge I made it down and went across. I got to the edge of town and made my way towards the pier I crossed over to Lower Gotham and found the warehouse I parked my bike and ran the rest of the way I got to the rooftop of a building and I crouched so no one could see me I saw a truck and a few men I lowered myself down and I kept hiding behind crates I shot an arrow with a little camera on it towards the door and then I shot another on the truck turning on the tracker I ran across and slid under the truck and I watched them walk by I then headed towards the back of the truck and when no one was in sight I hoped in and just saw boxes I decided to snoop and I cracked open one and I saw nothing but straw I decided to put my hand in and I felt something and I pulled it out it was a case filled with some sort of stones.

Artemis: What the hell.

I took out a stone and it looked like a ruby but there was something else in it I tried to see it but then I heard some yelling and then shots were fired I hide behind the crate I put the stone in my pocket I knew I was stuck here and I thought there's only one choice I have, I took out one of my arrows and clicked the bomb button on my bow I took it out and I shot it towards them to the bed of the truck I kept my head down and then heard a huge BOOM!! I jumped over the crate and flipped over them shooting arrows I kicked one guy back and I punched another I ran and back flipped off the truck and I smacked another with my bow I looked around and another guy was running I shot off the arrow and it him in the shoulder and went down and I walked into the building I saw no one else but I had a feeling this wasn't going to be this easy. I walked in and felt a pain in my stomach I looked down and the bullet got stuck thank god in the vest I pulled it out and more bullets went off I ran across the room and dodged a couple men and then I felt this tightness around my arm I was tossed to the ground and I went to kneel I then felt myself being pulled up I then came to a stop and I dropped my bow.

Guy: Well Well look at what we have here a beautiful little archer who's got nosy.

Artemis: You haven't seen nosy till I start picking through things.

He chuckled and I reached up trying to keep the weight off my arm I tried pulling up but I couldn't get a grip and I could feel my shoulder coming out of it's socket I reached for my arrow and I ticked the bomb myself and I threw it up to the chain and it blew up and I fell to the floor I landed next to my bow and I reached back and shot off 4 more in there direction one was a smoke screen I ran past knocking each one on there ass I ran past one and knocked into a huge guy knocking me on my ass I went to reach for my bow and I felt my leg being pulled I was thrown and I hit the wall I got up and he ran over and slammed me into the wall again wrapping his hands around my throat I grabbed his arms and he gripped tighter I was losing consciousness and I couldn't breathe I then remembered Joker and him looking at me and telling me to fight on. I opened my eyes and my feet came to his chest and I kicked him off me and then I dropped to the floor I got up and held my throat and I ran sliding picking up my bow and I shot off at him I ran to the door and I locked them in and I called GCPD I ran off and towards a roof I waited till the police got there when they arrived I ran off toward my bike and road.

I road to the bridge and I stopped looking back at the pier it was now covered with police I saw a helicopter and I road off I road past a couple buildings my father owned and of course Wayne Enterprises I came to a light and a family pulled next to me I saw the little boy with an action figure in the back and I lifted my helmet and winked he and the biggest smile on his face. I road off and I wheeled down the road I passed over the last bridge and I looked back at Gotham and then I took the back road to my house and pulled down into the garage I turned off the bike and as I went to get off lifting my leg hurt and now that I mention everything else did too. I walked up the stairs and I went into the kitchen and sat my helmet down I walked down the hall and  passed the living room.

Joker: Katherine:

I stopped and I walked backwards and looked to my left.

Katherine: Jo..ker?

He stood and put his hand through his hair and walked into the light I backed away as so he couldn't see me in my suit he was shocked at me moving away.

 Katherine: Where were you I woke up and you were gone I was alone, I thought me yelling hurt you.

Joker: No, no not at all I just we both needed to have some space I guess I took it at the wrong time, I needed to handle some business as well and take care of something......I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt you.

We stood there and I looked at him and I didn't know what to say.
