Universities where people always party and get wasted, where they stay out late trying to do outrageous things. Where you kiss a different girl or boy every night trying to fit into this thing we call the world.
What does my life consist of at university? Studying, sleeping, studying, eating, and more studying. I never tried to go to parties because it wasn't my scene, but I had a complaining roommate who always tried to get me to go.
I sat down on my bed, getting comfortable before opening my book to page three. I grab my phone from the side table, plugging in my earphones without music, I can't study at all.
*~*~*
"The theory of....." I read through the work, taking in everything. I looked at the time on my phone, seeing that I had studied for three hours without any interruptions.
I got up from the bed, walking over to the mini fridge in our room. Madison got everything she wanted in her room whenever she snapped her little fingers her dad would jump. I guess that's the luck of being the only child, right?
I bent over and got out a bottle of soda from the fridge. Closing the door, I turned around and looked into Madison's puffy red eyes. She looked horrible.
"What's wrong, Madison?" She walked over to her bed, stuffing her head into her pillow; I could still hear her sobs even though she tried to hide it.
"Maddy, what is wrong?"
"It's him." Was all I could make out from the whole conversation because she was rambling on.
I sat down next to her on the bed, placing my soda down on the floor. I put my hand on her back because I wanted to show her I was there for her, she was also my best friend. She was always there for me when I freaked out whenever I thought I failed or when I had panic attacks for not studying hard enough.
She immediately sat up straight, wiping away her tears. She plastered a smile on her beautiful face before getting up and looking at me.
"He thinks by leaving me, I am just going to sit around moping about him he is so wrong. Tonight we are going to Frank's party if you like it or not." She was crying about him like ten minutes ago, and now she is already ready for a party, I don't understand this girl.
She has been dating a rugby player Joshua for over three years now, but they had the kind of relationship that no one wants because they always break up, but after some party, they would just hook up again. Trust me, I would never want a relationship like that.
I want and need a stable guy in my life, but to tell you the truth, I don't think I will ever date a rugby player because they have too many issues in life.
"So, are you going to the party with me?" She snapped her fingers in front of me.
"Sorry, got to study."
"Why? Your test is next week on Friday, not this week." She flicked her blonde hair over her shoulder, batting her fake lashes at me.
"The sooner I start, the better prepared I am, and it's Monday. No one goes out to party during the week."
"Girl, the best parties happen on Mondays. Please, I need you there for moral support." She went down on her knees begging me.
"Fine, let me just get dressed." I rolled my eyes and stood up from the bed, walking over to my closet.
I didn't like dressing up, but since this was a party and I knew there were going to be a lot of people there, I didn't want to look like a pumpkin.
We finished up and headed to the party, which was only a few blocks from our dorm. Madison was dressed in a skimpy red dress because she knew she was going to make Joshua jealous when he saw her.
